Britax Allegiance Stage Convertible Static

Installation of a car seat is easy because of the push button latch connectors and built in lock offs. No rethreading, ever: Quick adjust 10 position harness with headrest grows along with your child. Remove the car seat cover without removing the harness. Side impact protection, steel frame, impact absorbing base, and forward movement are designed for safety. It fits. The rear facing 5 to 40 pounds and the forward facing 20 to 65 pounds are 26 x 18 x 21 inches. It fits. The rear facing 5 to 40 pounds and the forward facing 20 to 65 pounds are 26 x 18 x 21 inches.

👤The seat is FAA approved, but can't be used with a seatbelt. The seat is designed so that the belt goes between the plastic shell and the cushion, which means that the seatbelt installation cannot be done when the baby is in the carseat. The plane buckle ends up under the baby's back or bottom. No way around it. I tried different types of aircraft from 2 different companies, but nothing worked. This is a design flaw for a seat that is approved by the FAA. It hasn't been tested for airplane travel.

👤I returned my Extend2fit because I couldn't get my daughters straps to fit against her chest. The carseat is easy to adjust. The straps loosen and tighten just as easily with the simple press of the lever. After fighting with the Extend2Fit, it was a relief to know that it was not right. The manual says to be reclined all the way into the third position for rear facing, which was ridiculously easy just like everything else about this seat, so ignore the review that says "does not recline", because the "recline" bar is bright red and says "RECLINE" The best thing about this carseat is that it doesn't have to be threaded at babys shoulders. The back of the seat has a panel that clicks up and down to adjust the height of the straps. It could not be any harder. I had to remove the gray flexible chest straps because my daughter is small and they couldn't fit against her belly. The booklet said that they were designed for when your child is forward facing, as they are an extra shock absorbing safety feature. The seat is easy to adjust, and as a mother I feel more confident that my daughter will be safe in it. I would have gotten this instead if I had known what I know now, because I would have wasted time looking for a sale price on that one.

👤My son is 1.5 years old and I have used the Britax Allegiance with him since day one, and now use it for my daughter. These car seats are very easy to install. I used a Gracco car seat at the in-laws when we were there and it was very cheap and not very sturdy. The only way Britax could improve on this car seat is if they made it recline at more of an angle for infants. When we brought the children home from the hospital, they were almost sitting upright because there was not enough angle. These car seats are not included.

👤This carseat is so exciting! Love the cushion behind the seatbelt. It was easy to install.

👤We love our Britax car seats. Our kids are comfortable in them and we don't worry about their safety when using them. They fit into all of our vehicles, from our small sedan to minivan.

👤I own 5 britax car seats for my 6 grandsons and will only buy this brand in the future. I have ever bought a car seat that was the safest and most durable.

2. Chicco GoFit Plus Backless Booster

Chicco GoFit Plus Backless Booster

The LATCH system is quick to release. A carry handle is built in. The seat has double foam padding. Cup holders are dishwasher safe. The underside is smooth. The underside is smooth.

Brand: Chicco

👤I would give this product a 10 star review. My son is going to be 12 in February. Correct, 11 will be 12. I am beyond pleased with this product, as he is 4'8" and ranges 78-81 lbs. My positives are that he is safe and that his positives don't look like a "baby" seat, comfy memory foam butt pad, leather arm and perfect sized cup holders. It's easy to install and remove, it's lightweight, it's snug, and it matches car decor, so there is no fight on using it. It's so much more versatile for a middle schooler than other boosters on the market, and I wish the whole thing was in black or black and charcoal, but it's amazing and I love it. We have tried and returned before. Thank you for keeping kids safe. Have been with your company for 11 years.

👤One of the LATCH hooks broke after less than a month of use. The LATCH failed to work the second time it was used, after this seat was removed from the car. I ordered a new car seat for my child, but it is not yet delivered. I will not trust a booster seat that breaks after a couple weeks of gentle use, as this is my last product from Chicco. I hope the company will offer a full refund as I don't think this product is reliable enough to replace with an identical item.

👤There is no mention of a used product in the description.

👤The best car seat is not good enough for my boys because I am a firefighter and certified car seat technician. I searched for this booster seat on car seat safety websites. 5 stars across the board. The easy and safe installation of the latch system prevents back injuries from other boosters. The car switch process is made easier by the pull of a lever. This is a must buy, worth the money, and the safest backless booster on the market.

👤Excellent sturdy booster. Construction is well above others. My kids preferred this booster over all the others we've tried. I ordered 8 of these to change our current carseat situation into a three-in-row car seats/boosters configuration. I needed to fit 3 in a row using two boosters and a slim Cosco car seat. I plan to change to three boosters in a row in a year. This booster is too big for three-in-a-row, and it was everyone's favorite booster. If you want to install one or two, it's fine. It won't work in most small cars. I ordered the "Plus" model for the stability of the latched system. With the boosters latched on, there is less flexibility to fit the boosters. Half of my order will be returned. Make sure your car is large if you want to attempt what I'm attempting. You may want to save your money and get the regular boosters without the latches so you can cram the boosters in. Most of the onboard cupholders will become useless if 3-in-a-row is installed. The kids loved that feature. Toyota Sienna: Three in a row configuration with carseat in between fit, but barely. It's really tight. Three boosters are tight and barely fit. The seat belt was tight and it was difficult to fit it. The Model S is three in a row with a carseat in between. It's really tight. The seal belt buckles are embedded into the seats. My 5 year old who can usually unbuckle herself needs me to do it. When we reconfigure, three boosters will fit, but will be really tight. The Honda CRV has two bucket seats in the back, so two boosters fit comfortably back there.

3. Chicco NextFit Zip Convertible Seat

Chicco NextFit Zip Convertible Seat

Superior DuoGuard with deep rigid shell for head and body support and EPS energy foam and steel-reinforced frame offer reassuring protection. 👤We have had a few different car seats, but this one is our favorite. The frame is strong and reinforced for me. My husband and I are both paramedics and have seen many car seats in accidents, and this one stood out to me as one of the safest, and it held up well in some of the more serious crashes. My kids preferred this seat over the others because it has the most cushion. The zip feature makes it easier to clean the fabric. I have had this seat for two kids and it is still in perfect condition. It feels safe, that's a plus. The sides are protected from every angle. It is a bit bulky but we didn't mind since it felt more safe than others. The push button system is a great feature. This is something I want on any seat I purchase because of the system that has ruined me. The clips and straps are no longer used. This seat is well worth the cost.

👤The NextFit ix's we replaced were in use when our vehicle was rear-ended. Both Kiddos were secured correctly and were not injured. Our oldest is close to the rear-facing weight limit on the original NextFit. The NextFit Zip Max can rear face up to 50 lbs. The Max is a bit bigger in feel and depth than the other side. Both of these are expected. When rear-facing the seats, we had to move our front seats up a bit to fit the larger size. The strap that you pull to tighten the harness is something that I have mixed feelings about. I like that it was moved inwards on the seat. The strap is being pulled underneath the cover when the harness is loosened. I wish there was a better stop mechanism in place so I wouldn't have to fish this out from under the cover.

👤When my son outgrew his Britax infant seat, I decided to go with the Graco Extend2fit because of its great reviews and moderate price. My son would scream the entire time he was strapped in. I couldn't get a good fit for my son or the seat itself. I tried the Britax Boulevard ClickTight. I have always used Britax car seats with my children, and I had high hopes for this one. The second row bucket seats in my car are huge. I had to return the seat because I couldn't get it to fit. I decided to give the Chicco seat a try because it gets great reviews on Consumer Reports and it doesn't make the "safest or best convertible car seat" list. I could tell that this seat was different from the other ones when my son didn't cry or fuss when I put him in it. The installation of this car seat is very simple and it really does take a quick pull of each strap, so I went to install it myself and it is rock solid. The fit of my child seat is perfect, even though I had to use a foam child seat positioner. My son loves it, it fits in my bucket seats. It seems to be one of the safest. I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Amazon and Chicco!

👤I am a professional nanny who has done hundreds of car seat installations for a variety of seats and cars and has taken multiple car seat classes. These seats are tanks. They require a few tricks of the trade to install. I was able to get a safe install while nine months pregnant in the Florida summer heat, but I would not recommend this seat if you are going to switch it between cars or have someone unfamiliar with car seat installations transporting your child. My son is two years old and he is in the middle seat of my Honda Civic. I needed a slim seat to maximize back seat usage. I wanted something that would last from newborn to booster. I was excited about the new seat because it addressed some of the issues I had with the previous ones. My baby is in the rear passenger seat. The bar is anti-rebound. The older Dionos have a strap that you attach to the front seat tracks which decreases rotation in a crash, but it can be difficult to set up and leave excess strap laying everywhere. Due to the design of the seats in my car, the anti-rebound bar does not completely brace against the seat, which is why it is supposed to be the replacement. It will not reduce rotation in a crash. There is a My first son was two weeks late and a decent size, so the RXT worked well from birth but would not be ideal for a small baby. The QXT has newborn features that make it great, such as keeping the new baby at a perfect angle and keeping his head from flopping around. The foot attachment at the bottom of the rear seat can slip into the back seat crack to achieve the desired angle, but some vehicles do not have a suitable crack for this to be positioned in. I have a spare seat for my mother's car because it is hard for me to get a safe rear facing install in her car. The issue hasn't been fixed in the new QXT. I am quite happy with the seat so far. My older RXT has held up well. I expect nothing different from this new series. I love that I can have both boys in the back of my little car with me. The seat has passed extensive safety tests and will hold up well in the event of a roll over crash. Give yourself plenty of time to get a safe install after reading the manual and looking up videos online, and be sure to research compatibility with your vehicle.

👤I have purchased four of these seats, one for each grandchild, and a replacement after an accident. This is the seat you want to sit in. The kids that I treated did well. This seat will help absorb the energy from an accident and help to protect your loved one.

👤The wife ordered three overpriced monstrosities for our cars. Installation in smaller vehicles is a nightmare because they weigh 50 pounds. Due to our situation, I will have to take these out and replace them several times a year. I will lose even more time when I have to remove and reinstall them because they have already cost me over 1000 dollars. I have one installed correctly, one that I gave up installing, and one that is still in the box after spending 4 hours. These things will haunt me until my kids grow up. The box they came in was loaded with trendy phrases so I guess it is all good.

5. Graco Admiral Convertible Seat Studio

👤Our compact sedan is too big for our Graco Extend2Fit, so we bought this as a second car seat. The admiral fits well in our cars. The strap adjustment is easier with this one. Very pleased with our purchase.

👤It's very difficult to loosen the straps on this car seat because you have to do it every time. You used to lightly tug on the straps when lifting a flap in an older version. In this model, you have to reach your fingers deep inside a small hole and then press down on a lever while tugging on the straps. It is difficult to do this when the car seat is in the rear facing position. I don't think anyone with short fingers or large fingers can do this.

👤The car seat was purchased to replace the first one. When choosing a car seat, the only things that mattered to us were that it was small, easy to use, and looked sleek, and that it was able to sit next to an infant car seat. Safety mattered too. We were having trouble fitting an infant car seat next to a convertible car seat for our small car. It worked with this seat. My daughter loves it. As our child grows, it is easy for parents to adjust. It was more difficult to install than our Safety 1st. We don't move the seat so this didn't matter to us. We would definitely purchase the same one again.

👤I bought this for our second car and was not impressed. Roll up the towels to put under it in order to recline. That doesn't seem safe and isn't worth the money savings.

👤The car seat is great so far. It was easy to install and my son was comfortable. It has a good amount of padding, unlike some of the other carseats. My 13 month old can easily reach his sippy cup and put it back, the cupholder is at a great angle. I was afraid it would be too large to fit in my small car, but it fits behind the passenger seat.

👤I bought this car seat for my dad because he helps transport my son. My son loves it and is comfortable in it. It has a lot of room and is cute. My son is a year old and weighs 30 pounds. There is room for him even with his coat.

👤The seat is attractive. Minimum efforts are put into it. The foam is very thin and you can feel it through the plastic. The plastic seat is not hard like our other one. I can bend, push and pull it. There are two bars. The other seats have stronger bars. I picture a large vehicle hitting my baby girl side of the car and this seat doesn't feel safe to me. We are buying the Britax One4Life. My heart is against this seat. My bank was happy. I don't think this would protect my girl in my car. It would be better for an SUV, van, truck. Make sure you check the plastic before you use it for your child. It is a great seat because it has a circular cup holder and some have square cup holders. That is nice. The seat cover makes it easy for our daughter to get sick in the car. I will buy a steam cleaner for her. The only thing that is a downside is that it doesn't have a cover at all. The cost with accessories is $500. This seat is budget friendly and much safer than other car seats you can find. The seat is not safe for us.

6. Graco TurboBooster Highback Booster Glacier

Graco TurboBooster Highback Booster Glacier

It helps to safely transport a big kid from 4 to 10 years old. The minimum weight has been increased from 30 to 40 lbs. For years of use, the 2-in-1 seat easily converts from a highback booster to a backless one. Energy-Absorbing foam is used for impact management. Keep your child content on the road with padded, height-adjustable armrests and hide-away cup holders. The belt guides help position the seat belt. Your child is secured on all of your journeys with a multi-layer headrest. The seat is crash tested to meet or exceed US standards. Check your local and state laws for car seat usage. 👤I just bought a second pair of these carseats. I bought some after someone backed into my car with my old ones. I purchased these for my daughter and son because of the research I did. They hit a COW on the interstate and spun off into a power pole while visiting my in laws in LA. My son hit his arm on the car door, but he and my daughter are both fine. The police, emts and fire fighters all said that my father was uninjured in the situation and these carseats. The officers/fire fighters inspected them before my sister in law picked them up and said they seemed to be undamaged, although they recommended replacing them. You couldn't pay me to put my kids in different booster seats.

👤After reading reviews, I didn't want to buy it. I'm happy that I didn't get persuaded. I realized that some people are not perfect. Reviewers can be wrong. I was impressed with the quality, which is not high end. It's good for the money. It was easy to assemble. Didn't need the instructions at all. My 3yr old was excited when I unboxed it. I have never seen her excited for a carseat. I helped her carry it half way to the car. It was perfect in the backseat. It doesn't have a hook, but it's pretty secure without one. It looked like it came with the car. The interior was matched perfectly. I bought it from the Amazon warehouse. Yep, kid you not. It was mint. It's a brand new thing. I was skeptical at first, but I took a chance and am happy that I did. I would like to thank the guys for reading my review. Be safe.

👤This is a great product. My daughter is now five years old and we purchased it when she was four. She is short and only weighs 36 lbs. There is no way to anchor it, that's the one thing I don't like about it. The seat belt is simply run across. There is no shoulder strap in the back of my dad's Crown Vic. It's easy to put it in any car I want because you can grab it and go. The cup holders are not good for water bottles. They fall out when turning. It's hard to get the seat belt on because we have to put it on the edge of the seat, but that could be our car. A great product is made by Graco.

👤This is a great boost. I have had it for 2.5 years and it is still strong. The weight limit on the LATCH anchor and the booster seat's connections to the LATCH are important things to remember when using five point harness boosters. A five point harness is not as safe as a seat that has strong connections is, because the weakest link in the chain is the seat. The heavier the kid, the stronger the forces will be, which will cause the anchor and anchor connectors to be damaged. It is easy to be fooled by false advertising because it requires some engineering knowledge and common sense. I own a popular five-point booster for my small child. It was advertised as a five-point harness booster for kids up to 100 pounds. I was horrified to discover that it was only rated to be 48 pounds for use with LATCH. I thought my five year old was safer in his sister's seat than he was in his booster, but I was wrong. He might have stayed securely attached to the seat in a crash if he had not been over the weight limit. The seat is not enough to protect your child. The seat needs to be attached to the car. You know your kids. If they are cautious in the car and aware of safety, and don't unbuckle themselves or fiddle with the belts, or otherwise do anything to mess with the belt positioning, this is a great seat for kids within the age, height and weight limits. It is sturdy and doesn't show wear. The covers are dirty. The cupholders are easy to clean. Even after your child grows too tall for the back, it will last and last. The backless booster is done. They are more or less held against the car by a correctly positioned seatbelt in a crash. If you have a child who won't stay in their seat, or unbuckles the seatbelt, then please attach a seat with a five point harness to the car using the seatbelt and not the LATCH.

7. Graco SlimFit Convertible Seat Annabelle

Graco SlimFit Convertible Seat Annabelle

Your child can grow from a rear-facing harness to a highback booster in a 3-in-1 car seat. The seat is 10% slimmer because of the dual cup holders that rotates away. A combination of the most rigorous crash tests helps to protect your little one in crashes. The harness and headrest can be adjusted in one motion. The safest fit for your child is to choose the perfect height for their headrest. The recline helps for a better installation. Push-button In Right LATCH has an audible click to help ensure secure installation.

Brand: Graco

👤We were in a car accident at 60mph. A 2 year old child walked away from an accident after biting his tongue. He was thankful for the protection this seat gave him.

👤I've been wanting to get a second car seat for a long time. I went to the local stores to try out the Slim Fit after seeing the price drop. The Slim Fit and the Milestone are both on sale at Walmart for the same price. My primary car seat is a Graco 4Ever. Both the SlimFit and Milestone have the same features. My daughter and I chose Slim Fit because of the two cup holders. The seat is very comfortable. There is a good amount of cushion in the head and butt area. Ours has been in use for several years and feels more comfortable than the 4Ever. The beams are reinforced with steel like the 4Ever, but they are not as thick or wide. The SlimFit is a bit lighter because of this. The in Right latch system is a must have for the Slim Fit. The installation is easy, but the in Right belt is a bit harder to get as snug as I want. That could be because it is brand new. The harness adjusts when you raise and lower it. The seat is a bit larger than the 4Ever. I am testing out the Slim Fit in my Mazda CX-5 and I feel like there is more room for passengers than when I have the 4Ever in the same place. There are only 4 "recline" positions. I would like to see 5. The 4Ever has two recline positions just for forward facing, which is a plus. It's a little more comfortable with the added recline. The SlimFit is definitely comparable to the 4Ever. If you can purchase below retail, I would recommend it. There was a photo added for asthetic comparison.

👤Ok. All of the pictures should be forgiven. Seeing comparison pictures of new car seats helped me make my decision. We are getting a new car seat. I drive a small car, the 2015 crosstrek from the Subaru line. If I could do it all over again, I would buy a minivan that we didn't need and I wouldn't want a teenager sitting in the back for family outings. The seat is a bit slimmer on the slimfit due to the lack of armrest and cup holders. The back and headrest are the same on both seats, but the back of the slimfit is a solid panel as opposed to the extend2fit with an open back. Both of these differences are functional and mearly. The recline option is the same, the padding is the same, and the wonderful sliding headrest to adjust height is the same. The water under the bridge made it difficult for me to get the latch through the rear pass. The seat is heavy and not a good choice if you want to carry your car seat through the airport or move it on a regular basis. I don't like the fact that the infant seat insert is not included, there are a lot of cracks in the fabric and it is hard to get gummy snacks out of it. The seat is sturdy and well built, which is a bonus since I won't need another car seat for the kids down the road. It is nice. Installation was ok. 10/10 would buy again.

8. Safety 1st Comfort Convertible Niagara

Safety 1st Comfort Convertible Niagara

The built to grow for extended use through 3 stages is 5-50 lbs., forward-facing 22-65 lbs., and belt-positioning Booster 40-100 lbs. Actual fit may be different. Some children will not be able to fit in the seat for the full weight and height ranges. The baby is cool, dry and comfortable. Side impact protection. There are three pillows for a snug fit. There are storage pockets with the soft touch armrests. There are storage pockets with the soft touch armrests.

Brand: Safety 1st

👤I was so upset when I opened the box. I was expecting a pretty beige car seat that would match the interior of my car and the pad I bought for it. I got a grey seat that doesn't match anything and doesn't look like what I paid $150 for, the logo is iron-on instead of the embroidered version in the stock photo. I know I sound a little odd. I searched to find the right colored seat. It wasn't cheap. I wonder if this is just a cheap knock-off of the scam because there wasn't even a packing slip. Is it safe for my son to ride in? I am not sure if this will go back.

👤The carseat was everything that the positive reviews said it was. It keeps the child cool. My child's back was not sweaty or hot when I removed her from the seat. This is important because we live in Houston and it is very hot. It's easy to install. The harness and belt strap fit perfectly. She went to sleep almost immediately. There are several tilt positions for infants to toddlers.

👤This is a great car seat. It was easy to install. I can wash and put the car seat back on without taking it out.

👤My child always falls asleep in the car and this gives her something to rest her head on. I ordered after my son had an older model. I needed to buy a new one. The old one had a pillow air cushion near the head and it was really nice. This brand is so much better than other brands that are hard. It's easier to clean the cup holders with 2 of them. My daughter removes them all the time. The seat has more padding. It looks great in my car. It's easy to install. I tilt it back so she can sleep better when she falls asleep.

👤Its big and heavy. The baby's face broke out even though I washed the cushions. The baby sweated more. A nice carseat. It's not for my baby. The carseat was narrow even after I removed the newborn cushion, it still seemed that way. I have a new born version of this carseat that I like better, but it still doesn't keep him cool. This brand is not something that I like.

👤A good car seat. The Britax is our other car seat. Our son likes this one. It seems very comfortable. The seat belt has side clips that hold it in place. It loosens and tightens. There are two cons that prevent 5 stars. cup holders are a nice feature, but they cause the sides to be high and it's difficult to get him in. He is starting to climb himself. There is a The Britax seat has a little play compared to the install, and it is hard to get tight. The Britax has a click n lock that makes it very easy to install. It doesn't move. The Britax cost a lot more and we love the color of the Safety 1st seat.

9. Cybex Convertible 12 Position Height Adjustable Protection

Cybex Convertible 12 Position Height Adjustable Protection

The only car seat your child will need is the CYBEX Eternis S. The Eternis S is designed for use from birth up to 120 lbs. 👤I wanted to be in this car seat all the time. It's comfortable and sleek. I was between Britax and this. For a few reasons, I decided on the Britax. I ordered this one for the app technology of temperature. It was ironic that they received the wrong one. Normally, I would've contacted Amazon and waited for the replacement, then sent the wrong one back. After installing it, I realized it was the wrong one. The clips are very annoying. I would have needed that little device to help me. The magnet that was supposed to hold the clips was so weak that it might not help me at all. It's similar to others. The button for strap release was simpler than the Britax. I'm more likely to need the button.

👤I need to install and uninstall the car seat weekly because I don't have the option of permanently installing it. It's difficult to pull the belts tightly enough to secure the seat. I've read all the tips and tricks I could find, and had the best outcome pulling both straps from the inside. The removal is a 20 minute challenge since the anchor doesn't release when there is tension on the belt. I wish I could give the car seats a poor rating just to encourage the manufacturers to improve their products. I bought this car seat after graduating from the Cybex Aton 2, but it doesn't offer much. I'm going to try the EasyLatch system to see if it's any easier to live with.

👤I liked the safety features and the extra padding. It was on sale at Amazon. The box was beat to hades, but inside it was still plastic wrapped, zip tied, etc. It is so nice. Nice car. It was nice to have a black Lincoln. You don't have to re-thread the harness, the padding is amazing, and the level indicator is lovely. The L.S.P. feature made me feel better even if it wasn't very useful. It is very hard to install. I have a newer version of the Sorento that is not the smallest SUV, but you wouldn't know it. There is a I would have liked to get it to a 2, even though my daughter is almost a year old, because the best rear facing level we could get was a 3. The anchors wouldn't tighten down to where I felt safe. We couldn't even use them for a while because they were too heavy. The lock off feature is almost impossible to use unless your husband handles it, and even then he could only get it halfway. It is easy to get her in and out of the vehicle when it is all said and done. If it gets knocked out of position or must be moved, I dread having to fix it. Behind the driver's seat was where we got it in and leveled. My husband couldn't get in because the front passenger seat had to be moved so far up. It is lovely, but buyer beware of how large it is and how difficult the installation is.

Brand: Graco

👤This is our 8th car seat and 5th child. We have had several before this one. It's my favorite of all the car seats we've ever had, so I had to review it. It's seriously. The Diono is heavy and difficult to adjust to, the Britax is cumbersome, and the Evenflos are cheap and thin. None of them have covers that are easy to wash. The covers are easy to put back together. The metal parts you want to be safe and sturdy are latches, tether, etc. The adjusting pieces are large and easy to grasp. Oh! That is the other thing. I couldn't get my hand into any of the others in the way I needed to, not for adjusting, not for installing, and not for moving stuff around. I can get my paw through the appropriate areas. The harness adjustment feature is enough to give repeat business. I didn't say anything dirty while installing. Heeheehee

👤I couldn't ask for a better car seat when I bought it at Target. My daughter is 16 months old and still rear facing, she is very comfortable with the extended leg room. She was laughing and playing in the back seat of the car that was totaled in the accident, even though nothing happened. I just added it to my cart and will be buying it again for my new car.

👤I was frustrated with how hard it was to tighten the seatbelt. You need to have the strength of 10,000 people to tighten it. I figured it out. Pull the slack from around the child's hips once the chest clip and belt are buckled. The chest clip and shoulder strap covers should be lowered. The slack is above the chest clip. The strap needs to be tightened. It will be very easy. We shouldn't have to go through this, but once you know how to do it, it's not bad. It is easy to remove the cover, but it is not so easy to put it on. The seat cover is secured with small elastic loops. The loops need to be threaded through small holes to reach the hook. If you don't have a crochet hook, you will throw the seat away. With the crochet hook, I was able to thread the elastic loop through the small holes and over the fastening hooks with very little effort.

👤We don't plan ahead very well. We were worried when our kid was upgraded to a convertible car seat. We weren't sure if we would be able to find a small car that fit my wife's small car. We looked for a budget friendly car seat because we are already spending an arm and leg for diaper changing. We wanted something to keep him calm. We have three digit temperatures where we are located, which means we have something that could fit in a corolla and the passenger didn't have to move their seat to the point where they were kissing the dash. The fact that it grows with the child makes it a better investment than a budget friendly convertible seat. The fabric allows our son to breathe during the hot days. He gets a little sweat on his back but that is normal with all car seats. I know he doesn't mind the seat because he always passes out with each car ride. We were able to keep the front passenger and driver seat in the back of the car. I enjoy any little leg room I can get. This seat is perfect for your child.

Brand: Diono

👤We bought a radian for our second child and loved it. It is the most secure car seat I have ever strapped my kid into, and we have owned a lot of Graco and installed in several different models and types of car. I had to fight for more than 30 minutes in my mom's Ford Explorer with Graco and wanted to set the car on fire after she made me move it over in the hot Texas weather. I install mine and won't move it for any force in heaven or hell unless I am flying, so it's not like I do a daily ruck march with it. Diono is giving you a crappy, thin car seat cover and charging the same price as they did before. The difference between the two year model and the 3RXT is so large that you can tell they have changed their minds. I don't see how it isn't going to pill in the wash because it has less padding and is thinner. My child is going to destroy it. Most of the pics are in the "feel", but I have included a reference to old versus new. The fabric in the upper trim series car seat is supposed to last 10 years and cost $300, but I find this very disappointing. It's the same microfiber that I use on a couple of wal-mart $30 booster seats, or on universal car covers. I think it will turn green in the sun. The color of my radian ixt is the same as when I bought it two years ago and it has been washed a lot. I thought the car seat I received was the wrong one, because it said "Radian R" and the fabric was not stamped with the words. I think my confusion is reasonable because it shows on the box as "Radian RXT". They have pictures on their website and on Amazon. Nope. They are all the same fabric. Diono, car seats are expensive when you have to replace them constantly as you have kids, or have more than one so you aren't dealing with the logistics of changing cars with your spouse or parents just to get kids from point A to point B. Parents can easily save a lot of money by buying something less expensive. I wonder if they are as innovative as Diono claims, because I see a star there for the cheapness. If a company wants to repeat business, they need to do things well across the board. I came back because I loved it so much. I'm not sure if I need another one or if they'll go back to better covers. For reference, these install amazingly well in Toyota corolla, Sienna and Highlander and even the tiny Prius, but rear face in a Prius puts the front seat up too far for anyone over 5'6 to sit comfortably. You will still be angry if its leather, because they really didn't want anyone to use them and they are set too close together, so cranking down and getting the seat tight enough is a hassle. Don't let the entertainment package on a Ford Explorer fool you, not a young family with car seats.
