Baby Trend Trooper Convertible Cassis

There are three modes of use: rear facing infant, rear facing toddler, and forward facing toddler. The built-in bubble level indicator helps find the correct angle, and the rear-facing recline flip foot allows for great installation angles with ease. The Trooper can fit 3 ACROSS in most vehicles, as it is at its widest. The crotch position buckle is used for seat adjustment. 👤We used one rear-facing and one forward-facing 5-point harness seat for our children, because I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old. I returned them after a week. The car seat was brand new and easy to adjust. The belt paths were moved to where I needed them. I haven't washed the car seat yet. It would be very easy to do. I took it apart to make it easier to put the cover on and off. The vehice was easy to install and the latch system was easy to use. The cup holder is deep so cups don't go flying at every movement, and easy to remove for cleaning. I liked the rear facing position of the car seat. The color is off from the photos. It is more of a pink color in person than it is online. The pink seat pad can only be used up to 18 lbs and has to be removed. I had to remove it for both of my kids and the car seat was all gray. Again, not a big deal, but a bit disappointing. There is a The crotch buckle is too far back. My girls are small for their age and this buckle sat in the middle of their butt. It wasn't easy to Buckle as it wouldn't reach out far enough. The system to adjust the harness was fine in the rear-facing position, but with the car seat installed in a forward-facing position put too much pressure on the belt that feeds under the seat, and so I couldn't loosen or tighten the straps. It was difficult to get my child out of the car seat. I returned because I could not adjust the seatbelt from the front of the car seat and the center piece of the buckle at her crotch made her cry every time I got her in or out of her car seat.

👤It's not as bright as the pictures. The lap buckle is hard to adjust. The anchor doesn't fit through the slot to move the bottom buckle for an older baby. The length is shorter in my other carseats.

👤It works perfectly with three brands and one safety first.

👤The carseat is slim but still comfortable. The cup holder is sturdy and large enough to hold even wider sippy cups. My child loves this seat. The color is gorgeous, but it is more of a pink than a lilac. Installation is a bit extreme. The Nissan Kicks back seats don't allow for a towel or a noodle to be used in the back of a toddler's face, which makes it difficult to sit in a small SUV seat. It took almost an hour to get the seat to sit correctly. The flip foot is either sitting straight up for front facing or laying down for newborn rear facing. The foot doesn't allow you to use the level indicators for infants and toddlers in the seat. It would not be possible without using something to prop the seat up. We used a noodle to get the proper install angle and stability of the carseat.

5-POINT HARNESS SECURITY. There are four points on the body, two at the shoulder and two at the hips, where the harness can be fastened to give your child the best possible protection. There are three slots for the harness shoulder straps to be positioned for your child. When using a forward-facing car seat, the shoulder straps should be above the shoulders. There are two mode options. Children weighing between 22 and 65 pounds and 29 to 49 inches in height can use this forward-facing five-point harness car seat. Older children weighing between 40 and 100 pounds and 38 to 57 inches in height can be put in a belt-positioning booster seat. Before using this car seat as a belt-positioning booster, they recommend using the 5-point harness to the maximum recommended weight and height. There are safety precautions. This seat is above Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Only when used with a 5-point harness can the side impact be tested. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has a "best bet" rating. 👤I have three kids and each one has 888-492-0 888-492-0's. I would buy a new one if I had to clean them or move the straps. I wish I had that when I was a child, but you don't have to take the carseat apart and sell your soul to Satan to raise the straps! It is easy to install into my husband's truck and my mom's mobile. I highly recommend this car seat to any mom, dad, grandpa, aunt that was stuck with kids when mom went nuts, that wants to save her sanity. This purchase will not make you regret it.

👤My son is a tall 5 yo and he fit in the car seat perfectly, it's safe and he loves it. He says he's very comfortable, but he actually buckled it up himself. I just came in to check. He goes every time he enters the car. Wow! I love my new car seat and seeing him happy makes me happy. This car seat creeps me out. When my son isn't in it and I'm driving, I keep thinking that someone is behind me in a spiderman costume. This is what it looks like. It is great, other than that.

👤My son is a big fan of Spider-Man. I knew this car seat would make him happy. My son loves the Spider-Man cover and the car seat looks great, it's very comfortable. Long-term safety is one of my concerns. A piece of plastic that isn't strong enough is clicked on by the upper head strap. This can be broken by a car accident. Most car seats are made of metal. The seat is not tight enough because the strap that secured the bottom doesn't keep it in place. The car seat is still moving even after the strap is adjusted and tightened. My recommendation is to use the seatbelt of your car as an extra precautionary step for your child.

👤This is the second car seat I have ordered. The first one had foam coming out and the buckle was sliding down. I sent it back after my son rode in it twice. My son has ridden in the new one about 10 times. It is easy to install. I am telling you that it is not worth anything. The seat belt is cheap. The part that pushes up twists and slides down is in the car. I had to unbuckle my seat belt and put my knees in the seat while my husband was driving because I had to keep looking at my son. I purchased this because it was Spider-Man. The seat belt straps are very thin. I wouldn't recommend it. So upset.

👤Will not be tightly installed. I was able to move this seat all over the place by using the seatbelt system and the latch. My son was very sad. I have installed many car seats and never had this problem. I have a Honda pilot that is newer than the one I own. My daughter wants the cinderella one, but we won't be getting that either. Will return this and have a sad little boy.

The ride has a rear-facing weight of 5-40 pounds and a forward-facing weight of 22-65 pounds. Side impact protection. It's in the back seat of most vehicles. The cup holders are dishwasher safe. Easy up-front adjustment with the 5-point harness. Easy up-front adjustment with the 5-point harness.

👤I will try my best to explain this, but here is my review of the Safety 1st. The car seat is convertible. I bought this car seat to put in my mom's truck as a rear facing car seat. I put it in my car to make sure it was ready to go before we left. When I put it in my car, I noticed there was a slight issue, but I figured it was because I did it quickly. I put it in my mom's truck for the trip. We started our journey after we thought all was good. The level line was no longer level to the ground after we stopped to get gas. I reinstalled the seat after figuring I did it wrong again. The seat was leaning backwards when the car was stopped for gas. I adjusted it again and went about our way. I told my mom that the seat wasn't securing the right way when we got to our destination. I pulled the book out and made sure I did everything correctly. I had. We went about our trip. The kids seats were moved from my mom's truck to my sisters truck. I couldn't get it to sit properly rear faced. I put her in it rear facing because it was secure and felt safer than turning her front facing. I felt better if she sat front facing then back because there was something off with the seat. We left and went back to California and it wouldn't secure in my mom's truck. I put a blanket under the one I rolled up hoping it would help. And it did not... She got sick and vomited when we put her front facing again. I flipped her around and drove home. I wrote to the company about my concerns and didn't hear back. It was not sitting well with me. They pulled my email up after I called them. FaceTiming me to make sure I was installing the seat correctly. Which I was. They called another employee to watch me install the seat. I showed them how she would end up laying on her back in the car if it pushes backwards. They told me that the seat isn't compatible with my car. I told them that I have installed this seat in three different vehicles and that it works in all of them. They said that it wasn't compatible with them. I tried to find a compatible car seat list on their website. There are reviews on the website stating the same thing I am having. They issued me a refund and had me destroy the seat to see if they are having the same issue. I don't know how I feel about that. I hope this post convinces people to purchase this and save a baby's life. The lady on the phone from the company said that the seat should not push backwards so that the baby is laying on their back. The child should not be able to push their feet on the back seat. Ever. I was trying to prove to them that point. I don't know if they believe me. I will not buy another seat from them.

4. Britax One4Life ClickTight All One

Britax One4Life ClickTight All One

10 years of use, One4Life is a convertible to booster car seat that grows with your child from 5 to 120 lbs and up to 63 inches tall. You'll know it's right when you click it closed in 3 easy steps. One4Life has a high-back belt-positioning booster and covers from a rear-facing infant car seat to a forward-facing 5-point harness. Cool N Dry fabric improves air flow for a cooler ride and helps keep your child dry. A patented V-shaped tether helps absorb crash energy. A patented V-shaped tether helps absorb crash energy.

Brand: Britax

👤The car seat came out just in time, I have been looking for it. I wanted an extended rear facing car seat that was up to 50 pounds, as I have read that rear facing is best for little ones. I wanted the seat to be convertible to a front facing and booster seat so I wouldn't have to use multiple car seats over the years. There is a I wanted it to be safe. I narrowed it down to the nextfit max, graco extend2fit, and this car seat because they all have the booster option. The graco extend2fit would have been my choice if the seat hadn't come out. This car seat is the winner over the graco. There is a The installation is easy. I don't have to worry about messing with the latch, and I only have to close the click tight panel under the seat once I put the seatbelt across. My mom sat in it and was impressed by how comfortable it was. I was worried that it wouldn't fit in my car because of the extended rear facing seat. I was expecting a front seat passenger but there is still room for a passenger in the front seat. If it's in your budget, stop searching and get this car seat today. The safety of my child is worth it even though it is on the pricier side. It is worth the investment when I consider that the seat will last 10 years, and that I spend more time eating out than I did on the seat, it puts things in perspective. If it was helpful, please give this review a thumbs up.

👤I have removed a star for lack of comfort. Without a pull-up on but with the Britax Seat saver in use, my son started complaining about his bottom hurting and the seat being too hard about 25 minutes into the ride. I put my hand on the seat cushion and felt a bar under the seat cushion. The cushion isn't padded enough. That is not comfortable! This is very upsetting for a seat like this. The manual storage location is stupid. It is under the seat cushion behind the child's back, making it more difficult for the child to sit on. It would get torn up from all the moving around of the child. I don't like storing it in my glovebox. It should be with the seat. The only RF seat that has a shell tall enough for my son, who is only in the 75th percentile for height, is this one. I liked the harness straps, but now they seem to be falling apart. I'm going to keep an eye on this. There is a lot on this seat that needs to be improved. I'm very disappointed that there is no anti-rebound bar for this seat. The seat was shown with the anti-rebound bar, which was supposed to be used for a leg rest. The anti-rebound bar was not mentioned when the seat was released. An ARB might be available at some point, according to the company. Not good enough. Britax states the importance of the ARB and then releases a seat that doesn't have one. The seat cover doesn't fit the headrest. I've talked to someone else who has this seat and it's the same as mine. There is a lot of foam around the top of the seat. I don't like it. All. . It seems like it's too easy for the foam to be damaged. The headrest is moving a lot. This seems odd to me. It doesn't fit in the seat shell. I hear it rattle when my son moves his head. It seems like it should be better for the price. This seat is quite wide. I measured at the cupholders. Since we don't have any other passengers in the back seat, it does fit in my small car. The cupholders are easy to remove. It would be dangerous for the driver to have cupholders launched around the vehicle if they pulled them out and thrown them around by a young child. The seat requires the child's head to be below the shell, which is confusing. I don't like ambiguous rules for car seats, though I know a lot of them have this rule. I'm going to talk to a tech about how to measure that. My son is 42" tall and is 4 years old, so he seems to fit well in it. We finally found a seat that he can use to max out rear-facing in height or weight, because he has such a long torso. We already had a seat he could forward face in, so hopefully the rule won't affect that. I've only allowed my son to sit in the seat with a pull-up on so far, and I'm concerned the crotchbuckle is too short, which could cause him to break his crotch. I will find out if the Britax Seat Saver will be comfortable for him without a pull-up. The seat was easy to install. This is the only seat I've tried that is easy to install. It installed more evenly than any of the others I've tried. I like that the seat cover is machine washable, but I haven't tried removing it yet. It's machine dryable, which is great, but I will probably try not to dry it to help with longevity. The seat is quite tall. I have to have it on the second-to-last recline in order to be able to see out my window. The comfort of the seat, ease of installation, and height of the shell are the big winners here. The straps are easy to tighten and I like them. I leave the straps and unbuckle to get my son in and out so I don't have to tighten it all the time. The anti-rebound was supposed to be available. The ARB is more important with bigger kids since they have more force. There are some things that need improvement on this seat, but there are also some great things about it. I don't think we will keep this seat. The Nuna Exec comes with an anti-rebound bar and is easy to install, so we might end up with it.

👤My third baby is 8 months old and I bought this for the 8th time. I'm a bit of a carseat snob. I am a freak about following rules for installing and caring for children. I have it installed and I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it or use it with my baby. Excellent recline positions, especially for bucketed seats, are provided by the plush cover and padding. This seat is good for 3 across installation, but feels a little plastic-y, flimsy on the top half of the seat. It can be done back and forth. The head support is very wiggly and there is no re-thread harness adjustment. It feels like the styrofoam would break instantly if your toddler leaned on it or yanked it hard. There isn't much room for growth with the harness straps. The overall impression leaves me underwhelmed. I purchased a wagon from Evenflo in May and it was amazing. The quality is amazing, it is a shame that this carseat didn't translate to it.

👤The carseat was filthy and the side plastic was scratched when it arrived. I got a Graco model for my older son, but the headrest is very flimsy. I ordered a replacement for my carseat, but it was filthy and didn't have a plastic covering. I got a new 4ever DLX after returning both carseats. I don't recommend this carseat for its lack of features. Take my word for it!

👤As a new mom of a 5 month old, I was happy to see that I could get a car seat for a good price. The car seat looks better in person. It is so sleek and comfortable. The instructions manual, snack tray, cups and plastic pieces were in the car seat when I took it out of the box. The padding is placed on the seat so it is easy to clean. The cup holders have liners that can be washed. I love the double cup holders. I usually have the fiancĂ© install the car seats, but I took a stab at it myself. It wasn't easy for me, but with help from him, I was able to install tight and correct. He said that the installation wasn't bad and that the manual was definitely needed. After putting him in the car seat, he took a nap in it and we were very happy with it. The straps were easy to adjust to, but the bottom buckles were a bit harder to clasp. Since our son is still a baby, we use this car seat in our second vehicle, and it's easier to use a bucket car seat in and out of the house. We are excited to use the 4 in 1 car seat and watch him grow for many years. I am happy to know my son will be safe in this car seat in case of an accident. My child is in a car seat. The sensor safe clip that we have in our infant car seat is not included in this car seat. I will be sad to not have that feature in the future. It would have been a great addition to the car seat. This is a great price for a car seat and I recommend it.

👤A few days ago, I looked in the mirror and saw a car coming towards us, not stopping, as my car was stopped in a typical highway backup. I was able to say before impact that he was going to hit us. The car hit us at 50 mph. My wife was in the passenger seat, our 4 year old son was behind me, and we had another empty car seat behind me. The wreck was happening in slow motion and I was thinking of my 4 year old. The paramedics took him to the hospital. My wife and I only had minor neck injuries because of his car seat. The empty rear facing model held up. I always read reviews and safety ratings, but never thought I would be in that situation. If it happens to you, you want a car seat like this. I am buying a new one to replace the one that was destroyed.

👤My daughter was kept alive by this car seat. This one was replaced by the exact same model.

👤My child is big and tall, and his head would flop forward when he fell asleep in his carseat. I researched several seats before we decided on this one. The infant seat we used was a key fit from Chicco. This one is just as easy to use. My favorite features are 1. This model is lighter in weight than many other models, but has many important safety features. 2. I don't feel like I'm putting my son into a spaceship with the padding around the headrest. The shape of the headrest "wings" makes it possible for him to see out the windows of the car. 3. When he falls asleep in the car, his head rests against the wing of the car, not at an awkward angle like it did in his convertible. 4. The cupholders have been useful. The flexible material makes it feel less fragile and cheap. 5. It's easy to keep this seat clean. The hard pieces can be wiped down easily if you remove the cover. 6. It was easy to install. I have a seat from another brand that is better, but it's hard to get in and out of cars and airplanes. The level and guide labels make it easy. 7. It seems like it's based on recent research and technology. The seats that have been selling well for a long time are not the only ones that have been changed. It's a well-executed design with thoughtful shaping of safety features that still allow for a comfortable experience. I was shopping for a toddler harness booster and decided between the Britax models and this one. I want my child to be safe, but also comfortable. I'm sure a Britax seat would have been a good choice, but I'm glad we went with the Chicco My Fit.

👤I can't say enough good things about Chicco car seats. Our young man just turned 4 years old, and this is his 3rd Chicco. We went from the KeyFit to the NextFit and now we love it! He could have ridden in the NextFit for a while, but we have a new addition in the family so this guy graduated to the big boy seat so his little cousin could have the size down. Every Chicco we have has been worth every penny we have spent, they look great, are easy to use and adjust, and are leaps and bounds above the competition. If you are looking for a car seat or booster, we would recommend anything made by Chicco.

👤Each one was easy to install and did in 25 minutes. Extra coverage and security is secured properly. It has its own straps. The seatbelt stand comes with the vehicles and a third reinforcement on top. My kids like it. It is very safe and secure. It was perfect.

👤The car seat is adorable. The fabric is bright and beautiful. My daughter was too big for it, so she wanted this for Christmas. I was hoping she would be able to use it for a while. It was too small for her. She was too big to sit in a car seat like this. I wish she had been able to use it more. The cup holders are convenient. Everyone who sees the seat wants to know where it came from. It's perfect for a little girl.

👤My girls love their seats.

👤The design is beautiful and as the image shows. I didn't rate this product because of my safety concerns. This product is safe. You can't position it facing the rear end of the vehicle. The straps are not as secure as other carseats. You're buying for looks, not safety.

👤I have used a lot of car seat brands and this was the most difficult to install. It is almost like the belt bath is too high because the seat belt and latch get twisted when you tighten. I went through h-e-l-l to get a tight install, but I couldn't use these in my car because I have inflatable seat belts. I didn't see that in the info I bought. The box is no longer in my possession. I bought one for each child, so I guess I'm out $250. The material is nice and the designs are cute.

👤I don't recommend this seat for a younger toddler because the belt/strap fastenings are not as heavy to open and close. Other than that... Sturdy, vibrant colors, easy to assemble, comfort for older kids to rest, if they fall asleep during long road trips, keeps its upright position, and rests its head on a padded shoulder strap. The chair needs to be tightened thoroughly because the car has leather like seats and if not very tight the chair moved a little on the surface. We were more secure of our children sitting on these once this was over. Drink or toy holders are a plus.

👤It is a beautiful chair. If it fits in my car, I would be very confident using it. We couldn't adjust well enough for the chair to not slide all over. I had to return it and a couple other seats, but I think it will fit better in your car. My daughter was happy to sit in the Bell chair.

👤Our 4 year old was very fond of this at first. The seat is beautiful! The daughter has been using this for 4 months and complains about her bottom hurting every day and will shift around in her seat on the ride. My older son has a britax. This purchase was a mistake.

8. Evenflo Chase Harnessed Booster Jayden

Do not use abrasive cleaners. The Buckle Positions are used to adjust for more seating space as a child grows. 👤I never wanted to write a review. My husband and kids were in a car wreck. The car is totaled. The husband was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags deployed, but he was pretty beat up. My toddler is fine in this seat. There were no sore or bruised things. When the seat arrived in the mail, I was worried it wasn't good enough. It was cheap, but not as much padding as her infant seat. I'm buying another one after yesterday. I would like to thank you for keeping my baby safe.

👤We purchased a booster car seat for our daughter and are very happy with it. Our daughter is very comfortable in it and we feel safe. She loves the double cup holders on the arm rests. The car seat is easy to install. It's seriously. It takes two minutes. It's great.

👤My daughter is a bigger child. She is almost 4 years old and wears a size 7 clothes. She hated her last car seat because it was slimmer and she was always uncomfortable in it. She fits better with this one. I have had to fix the straps a few times because they tend to twist. It's easy to take out in cars. The cup holders are very nice. No more lost sippy cups. I am happy with this seat.

👤I ordered two. For a girl and boy. I opened it and there was no need for assembly. It was easy to set up in the van. My daughter and son love their new carseats, they are 6 years old and 3 years old, and this one fits them a little big, and the colors are beautiful. She will grow in it, which is great. My son fits in it but it is big for him and he will grow with it. I love them both. There is a A year later. They are still good!

👤I upgraded all of my children's carseats and purchased a new one for my almost 5 year old, while also purchasing a booster for my older child. I was excited to install them, until I pulled them from the boxes. It's very cheap to make this seat. The plastic cupholders fall off very easily and refuse to stay clicked into place, and the plastic around the headrest is very flexible, which I believe in a car accident, if the child is injured. I could bend it without much effort. I don't think it offers much protection. The straps kept coming loose as she moved around, which I can honestly say, I've never seen before, which I hope is a defect from the one sent to me. I gave it a chance. I tried to take it to my car and install it, but my husband didn't say anything. I let my 5 year old try out her sisters seat, because the Graco tranzitions were better for $25 more. My husband told me to box it up, send it back, and order a second tranzitions, because he didn't feel comfortable putting our child in this seat. I don't think this car seat will be a good fit for you if you are a big fan of car seat safety.

👤It was not taken lightly that I had to order 3 of these carseats. We absolutely love them. They fit in the 3rd row of the car. The good is very easy to clean. The only issue is that they are very long and if you are rear facing in the photo it sticks out a lot. These are by far the hardest. I'm not sure if it was because we have so many or so close together, but if it was, uninstall it. If you have 3 under 2 like me, you should buy this carseat because it will fit 3 across and save you time trying to fit 10 other carseats.

👤The car seat is heavy. Installation was easy for a small person like me. However! I had my son in this car seat when we were t-boned. My son was behind me because it was difficult to get him out of the middle seat in a big F-150 after we were hit. I learned something. I had to have emergency surgery for a broken skull, fractured eye sockets, and brain hemorrhage. I have a long recovery ahead of me, but my son died. I think this car seat saved his life. My son came out of the wreck without any injuries. The attending EMTs told me that they were surprised to find us not dead but unharmed. This is a very sturdy car seat that is easy to install. My son is a big boy and has always been comfortable in it. My son spills everything and the cover isn't as easy to clean as I would hope for, so I wish it was made of a stronger fabric. It stands up to a delicate cycle, but some messes require more scrubbing that this cover wouldn't stand up to. I would recommend this seat. The nurses asked about the car seat when they found out my son had been in the wreck, and he was happy and healthy. I told them to use this Diono.

👤The back of the cover is ripped after one wash. How is this product supposed to last? They are waiting to hear if they will replace it.

👤The 4th seat arrived and is not an open box. Don't give up, another open box used seat arrived today. I'll keep coming back until I get a new one from Amazon. I went from four stars to one in a shabby update. My daughter in law just got one of these and wants the same set up as the others, so I bought her a spare. I can see that the seat is in a bashed up box. The packing is retaped and some bits are missing. This is shabby. I didn't buy an open box so I'm sending it back for a replacement. I'm not the only buyer to get a used seat. I bought 3 of these for a 2015 Grand Cherokee, but I wouldn't bother with the middle unless you want to be pushed up against the steering wheel. I'll get another Diono 3R for the middle forward facing position in 18 months. The seats are too tall for rear facing. Everything else is okay with the seats. Excellent build quality.

👤I own the 4Ever Extend2fit but needed to upgrade my second child's infant car seat to a convertible one. I didn't need a second E2F as my rear-facing 4 year old was getting ready to transition into forward facing mode. I decided that the Grows4Me would make the most sense for my growing family after doing research on another E2F. The most basic of the 4Ever line is what I received after the G4M. The fabric of my E2F is different from the G4M. Some stitching is different from fabric. The G4M has less newborn inserts. The seat cover for the G4M is held together by a hook and loop setup. The G4M has one cup holder instead of two. It was a great budget buy because of the differences in comfort and safety. The 4Ever line has all the necessities and luxuries for a great price. The best part is that it fit in my car. Take that all you non-believers.

👤My daughter and I were t-boned by a garbage truck 10 days after we installed this car seat. She slept through my injury without a scratch on her head. I can't afford another one. I will be buying again when I can. It is worth every penny. 100 percent!

👤I couldn't use it for my baby so I didn't give a lot of stars. It's not for newborns. He was too small for it. He hasn't been switched to this car seat. He is four months old.

👤It may feel like a chore, but reading the manual will help you get the best fit for your child. I researched a lot to find the right carseat for my daughter. She is over 30 inches tall. Her seat was too tight for her height and she hadn't maxed out her weight capacity. I am a licensed social worker with a specialty in Child Welfare and have used SEVERAL carseats. This was one of the easiest ones I've installed and I found it to be easier to maneuver than her infant carseat was. I have "mother's wrists" as a result of my pregnancy which makes lifting heavy items very difficult for me. It was easy to lift and it did not cause any strain. My daughter's first car ride was in the photo. I noticed that she had more head support from this seat than she would've in her infant car seat, because she fell asleep.

👤The design has many features and is thick. The instructions are easy to understand in the manual. The position of the child on the bottom of the car seat base is correct. Sorry about the background noise in the video.

👤It's a hassle to anchor them to the car with the clips. Getting them on is not too difficult. I was not aware that I was ordering this. The base doesn't come off. I had to be escorted by a nurse to show her the one I had before I left the hospital. Not a fan. I would have paid an extra 100$ for the other version if I had known it would be this bad. There are more heads up! This isn't compatible with any stroller. That's correct, not just. I need to find a Graco. No my parents friends. Any troll. The base did not come off. That means no stroller. Leave the car seat alone. I was going to give it a 3 star. It is.

👤I wish I could give this seat a 3.5 star rating, but that option doesn't exist, so I went up to a four instead of a three. This car seat has been with us since February of 2016 It's been about 8 months since I wrote this, and it's been one year. When we purchased this car seat for my son, he was just one year old. He is an average sized child. We were in a passenger side impact car accident on the freeway last week and need to replace this car seat because my son was in it when it was side swiped. As I was thinking about what I would like in the next car seat, I thought about some things I don't like about this car seat, as well as some things I like. I thought it would be helpful for people to see my list of pros and cons after using the Condender 65 for over a year and a half. I kept my son safe in the car accident. The five point harness system was still installed tightly and there were no visible signs of damage. It's really affordable. It was cheap, but not cheap quality-wise. I didn't want to spend $300 on a Britax car seat if I could get away with it. I never considered the cup holder when buying a car seat because my son was barely a year old, but it has been great for holding toys, drinks, and snacks. It's easy to clean. The Britax and Chicco convertible models don't have cup holders built in which is a big problem for me. The ones that clip on seem flimsy and I've read a lot of mixed reviews that make those kinds of cupholders seem more an "afterthought" and don't really feel like a part of the seat. My son knows that he would pull them off and throw them on the floor. I read a review where a mom said her child did this for $30 to sit on the floor of their car. It's fairly light without feeling flimsy. It is 15.2 lbs, which sounds right to me. My niece has a Britax Pioneer car seat that is 26 lbs. The "Simply Safe Adjust" harness system at the top of the car seat is very convenient. It's nice to be able to press a button and pull it as your child grows, instead of having to re-thread the straps. It's easy to rethread the buckle. There is no "recline" button, but this could be a pro or con. If you are using the seat for forward or rear facing, you just flip the little wedge at the base of the seat. I never had an issue with it. We used it for both forward and rear facing. The little ball that indicates proper positioning was in the perfect place each time, without any adjustments or boosting in my Honda Pilot. Black straps! They hide the stains and clean them easily. All of the cons are personal preference and convenience issues. I have no doubt that this car seat is safe. It is difficult to move this seat from one car to another. The cheaper 'hook' style of straps are the ones that are used in cars, not the nicer ones that have a button like a seatbelt. They're a problem to get out of. It's a pain and a half to get in and out of my parents' BMW 5 series and my husband's Honda Civic, so I've transferred this from my Honda Pilot to my husband's Honda Civic. I end up sweaty and swearing. It is not helpful that the strap you use to adjust the seat is only on one side, so you have to climb into your vehicle or mess with it. We had to change it twice. When it came out of the box, my son was in the back of the car, and the adjuster was on the left side of the seat. It's more convenient to have the strap on the side of the door. You have to thread the belt through the seat because you can't just pull it out. When my son switched to forward facing, we had to adjust it again. These are the little things that you don't want to waste time on as a parent. If you could adjust the slack/tightness from both sides, it would be much more convenient. The little bar clip with a button that allows you to adjust the latch belt on the one side is very frustrating to use. It does nothing when you press it half the time. It is supposed to let go of its grip on the belt so you can get slack in the belt to remove the latch from the car or tighten it. My friend's car seat has an issue with the latch button. I am not a bad person, but I have lost patience trying and sometimes I have to ask my husband to mess with it. Stains. I have always been too lazy to take the entire cover off and wash it, even though I was positive I could remove the seat after the accident, because I didn't think I could do it. I have never been able to get the stains out of the seat insert with bleach. I wish they were easier to clean because it looks filthy, unfortunately, with a toddler it's unavoidable. I couldn't get the stains out of this seat, so I gave up. We had a seat in Glacier. The gray is shown in a photo. If you remove the lighter gray seat pad, the stains won't show. The little pad has always been left in for comfort. My friend with the same car seat has said that they washed the seat after their daughter had an accident and it took quite some time to dry. She didn't think the fabric would hold up to multiple machine washings. The five point harness that goes over the child is very difficult to use. I had a lot of issues with them not adjusting equally, which is unsafe. The straps seem prone to twisting and making the buckle backwards. The pull strap at the base of the seat can be difficult to pull tight enough. I felt like I would be pulling and yanking and it wouldn't be tight enough, so it drove me crazy. There is no recline handle to adjust the seat's incline. This could be considered a pro or con depending on how you look at it. The most important thing about the Contender 65 is that it kept my son safe in an accident, even though I didn't care for it much. We decided on the 4Ever car seat from Graco because I have faith in them. It fixes most of the "cons" on this list and has all of the features I loved about the Contender 65. I paid $238 for it on Amazon, but the price has fluctuated, and I've seen it as low as $199 on Amazon.
