The 3-in-1 car seat can be used in a rear-facing harness, forward-facing harness, and highback booster. The seat is 10% slimmer because of the dual cup holders that rotates away. The child restraint criteria for a frontal crash test are met. A combination of the most rigorous crash tests helps to protect your little one in crashes. The Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows the head and harness to adjust in one motion. The safest fit for your child is to choose the perfect height for their headrest. 👤We were in a car accident at 60mph. A 2 year old child walked away from an accident after biting his tongue. He was thankful for the protection this seat gave him.

👤I've been wanting to get a second car seat for a long time. I went to the local stores to try out the Slim Fit after seeing the price drop. The Slim Fit and the Milestone are both on sale at Walmart for the same price. My primary car seat is a Graco 4Ever. Both the SlimFit and Milestone have the same features. My daughter and I chose Slim Fit because of the two cup holders. The seat is very comfortable. There is a good amount of cushion in the head and butt area. Ours has been in use for several years and feels more comfortable than the 4Ever. The beams are reinforced with steel like the 4Ever, but they are not as thick or wide. The SlimFit is a bit lighter because of this. The in Right latch system is a must have for the Slim Fit. The installation is easy, but the in Right belt is a bit harder to get as snug as I want. That could be because it is brand new. The harness adjusts when you raise and lower it. The seat is a bit larger than the 4Ever. I am testing out the Slim Fit in my Mazda CX-5 and I feel like there is more room for passengers than when I have the 4Ever in the same place. There are only 4 "recline" positions. I would like to see 5. The 4Ever has two recline positions just for forward facing, which is a plus. It's a little more comfortable with the added recline. The SlimFit is definitely comparable to the 4Ever. If you can purchase below retail, I would recommend it. There was a photo added for asthetic comparison.

👤Ok. All of the pictures should be forgiven. Seeing comparison pictures of new car seats helped me make my decision. We are getting a new car seat. I drive a small car, the 2015 crosstrek from the Subaru line. If I could do it all over again, I would buy a minivan that we didn't need and I wouldn't want a teenager sitting in the back for family outings. The seat is a bit slimmer on the slimfit due to the lack of armrest and cup holders. The back and headrest are the same on both seats, but the back of the slimfit is a solid panel as opposed to the extend2fit with an open back. Both of these differences are functional and mearly. The recline option is the same, the padding is the same, and the wonderful sliding headrest to adjust height is the same. The water under the bridge made it difficult for me to get the latch through the rear pass. The seat is heavy and not a good choice if you want to carry your car seat through the airport or move it on a regular basis. I don't like the fact that the infant seat insert is not included, there are a lot of cracks in the fabric and it is hard to get gummy snacks out of it. The seat is sturdy and well built, which is a bonus since I won't need another car seat for the kids down the road. It is nice. Installation was ok. 10/10 would buy again.

2. Chicco NextFit ClearTex Convertible Seat

Chicco NextFit ClearTex Convertible Seat

A 5-point harness is padded to fit infants, toddlers and beyond. Premium LATCH connections with click-on attachment and push-button release make it easy to switch between modes in a convertible car seat. 👤We have had a few different car seats, but this one is our favorite. The frame is strong and reinforced for me. My husband and I are both paramedics and have seen many car seats in accidents, and this one stood out to me as one of the safest, and it held up well in some of the more serious crashes. My kids preferred this seat over the others because it has the most cushion. The zip feature makes it easier to clean the fabric. I have had this seat for two kids and it is still in perfect condition. It feels safe, that's a plus. The sides are protected from every angle. It is a bit bulky but we didn't mind since it felt more safe than others. The push button system is a great feature. This is something I want on any seat I purchase because of the system that has ruined me. The clips and straps are no longer used. This seat is well worth the cost.

👤The NextFit ix's we replaced were in use when our vehicle was rear-ended. Both Kiddos were secured correctly and were not injured. Our oldest is close to the rear-facing weight limit on the original NextFit. The NextFit Zip Max can rear face up to 50 lbs. The Max is a bit bigger in feel and depth than the other side. Both of these are expected. When rear-facing the seats, we had to move our front seats up a bit to fit the larger size. The strap that you pull to tighten the harness is something that I have mixed feelings about. I like that it was moved inwards on the seat. The strap is being pulled underneath the cover when the harness is loosened. I wish there was a better stop mechanism in place so I wouldn't have to fish this out from under the cover.

👤When my son outgrew his Britax infant seat, I decided to go with the Graco Extend2fit because of its great reviews and moderate price. My son would scream the entire time he was strapped in. I couldn't get a good fit for my son or the seat itself. I tried the Britax Boulevard ClickTight. I have always used Britax car seats with my children, and I had high hopes for this one. The second row bucket seats in my car are huge. I had to return the seat because I couldn't get it to fit. I decided to give the Chicco seat a try because it gets great reviews on Consumer Reports and it doesn't make the "safest or best convertible car seat" list. I could tell that this seat was different from the other ones when my son didn't cry or fuss when I put him in it. The installation of this car seat is very simple and it really does take a quick pull of each strap, so I went to install it myself and it is rock solid. The fit of my child seat is perfect, even though I had to use a foam child seat positioner. My son loves it, it fits in my bucket seats. It seems to be one of the safest. I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Amazon and Chicco!

3. Evenflo EveryStage Convertible Booster Crestland

Evenflo EveryStage Convertible Booster Crestland

The booster provides a safe and secure ride for 10 years of use. The only seat you'll ever need is the one that grows with child to 120 lbs. Your toddler can stay rear-facing for up to 50 lbs, without the need to extend the seat or other passengers. Child angles for comfort and safety, helping to minimize head slump and keeping airway open for a custom, cradled fit. You can position the seat for an accurate fit for a growing child. You can position the seat for an accurate fit for a growing child.

Brand: Evenflo

👤Evenflo needs to invest more in their diagrams. It's impossible to figure out what is in each graphic because of the shade of dark gray.

👤I was driving a dump truck with my kids in the back seat. My 2 year old was rear facing and my 4 year old was facing in these car seats. Both of them walked away. The back seat folded in as the trunk crumbled. They were not hurt by the grace of God. As soon as the insurance claims go through, I will be buying these again. I wouldn't trust any other car seat after this accident.

👤This will probably keep your child alive and not cause any harm to you. It is very sturdy. I can't stress this enough. This thing is so safe that your child will be alive and well. The straps keep it very safe and you can't move it an inch when it's installed. It's perfect for sport car owners who don't want to give up the 2door or the speed demon. Will keep them safe.

👤The box was open when it arrived and the seat was not wrapped in a plastic bag, but it was ready to be setup. It's easy to setup and my son looks comfortable.

👤Pour serrer, je pourrais dire, est difficile.

👤It is easy to install, however the instructions on paper are a bit confusing and wordy. The quality of the seat is great.

👤The product is almost great. The strap that says "Armpit level" loosens down.

4. Safety 1st Convertible Harvest CC267DWV

Safety 1st Convertible Harvest CC267DWV

The ride has a rear-facing weight of 5-40 pounds and a forward-facing weight of 22-65 pounds. Side impact protection. It's in the back seat of most vehicles. The cup holders are dishwasher safe. Easy up-front adjustment with the 5-point harness. Easy up-front adjustment with the 5-point harness.

Brand: Safety 1st

👤I will try my best to explain this, but here is my review of the Safety 1st. The car seat is convertible. I bought this car seat to put in my mom's truck as a rear facing car seat. I put it in my car to make sure it was ready to go before we left. When I put it in my car, I noticed there was a slight issue, but I figured it was because I did it quickly. I put it in my mom's truck for the trip. We started our journey after we thought all was good. The level line was no longer level to the ground after we stopped to get gas. I reinstalled the seat after figuring I did it wrong again. The seat was leaning backwards when the car was stopped for gas. I adjusted it again and went about our way. I told my mom that the seat wasn't securing the right way when we got to our destination. I pulled the book out and made sure I did everything correctly. I had. We went about our trip. The kids seats were moved from my mom's truck to my sisters truck. I couldn't get it to sit properly rear faced. I put her in it rear facing because it was secure and felt safer than turning her front facing. I felt better if she sat front facing then back because there was something off with the seat. We left and went back to California and it wouldn't secure in my mom's truck. I put a blanket under the one I rolled up hoping it would help. And it did not... She got sick and vomited when we put her front facing again. I flipped her around and drove home. I wrote to the company about my concerns and didn't hear back. It was not sitting well with me. They pulled my email up after I called them. FaceTiming me to make sure I was installing the seat correctly. Which I was. They called another employee to watch me install the seat. I showed them how she would end up laying on her back in the car if it pushes backwards. They told me that the seat isn't compatible with my car. I told them that I have installed this seat in three different vehicles and that it works in all of them. They said that it wasn't compatible with them. I tried to find a compatible car seat list on their website. There are reviews on the website stating the same thing I am having. They issued me a refund and had me destroy the seat to see if they are having the same issue. I don't know how I feel about that. I hope this post convinces people to purchase this and save a baby's life. The lady on the phone from the company said that the seat should not push backwards so that the baby is laying on their back. The child should not be able to push their feet on the back seat. Ever. I was trying to prove to them that point. I don't know if they believe me. I will not buy another seat from them.

5. Cybex Sirona Convertible SensorSafe Premium

Cybex Sirona Convertible SensorSafe Premium

The Sirona S is the first car seat in the U.S. to feature a 180 degree recline, which makes it easy to switch between rear and forward facing positions. The EasyLock Bar can be used for simple and secure car seat installation. Their load leg can reduce rotation in crashes by up to 30%, and their dual-level indicators ensure that your car seat is at the correct recline angle. If a child unbuckles themselves, if the back seat has become too warm or cold, if a child has been seated for too long, or if the driver accidentally leaves the child behind, SensorSafe provides an app alert. The anti-rebound design reduces car seat rebound movement in the event of a crash. Make sure your car seat is a perfect fit with the different positions of the headrest. It is easier to adjust the height of the shoulder straps as your child grows with the Sirona S harness. Make sure your car seat is a perfect fit with the different positions of the headrest. It is easier to adjust the height of the shoulder straps as your child grows with the Sirona S harness.

Brand: Cybex

👤The install is easy, and the potential for this car seat to win over the rest is high. For ingenuity, it was a 9 but for execution, it was a 7. I have a tesla model 3 and the base seems to fit securely, but the seat when locked into the base wobbles a lot. It could be ok, but that much movement when driving will just loosen the straps over time and not give me confidence. The seat is heavy and soft and easy to install. The isofix / latch system is easy to attach, but it is possible to catch a loop and pop it loose without knowing. Push release clips were much safer and had less chance of accidental release when I used the Uppababy Vesa base. The seat should be slid up to its forwardmost position to allow access to the belt tension system. It was very easy to attach and tighten. The part that doesn't move as expected is shown in the video. It was a bit of a pain to pull the leg out and extend it. Too long. The baby seat is being lifted off the car seat. It doesn't provide the safety it should. The seat looks comfortable. The shoulder straps can be attached to the side of the baby seat to make it easier to get the baby in and out of the seat. I haven't used or tested the sensor yet due to the instability issues. The leg is set correctly and the back is tight, but there is a lot of movement in the seat. It is too big inside its base. I am not sure if this is a faulty unit or not, but it is not what I expected. Even though the base was only attached by the isofix and didn't have a leg, the unit was fixed very securely. My son is too tall for the uppa baby car seat, and there is a disappointing number of rotating car seats in the US compared to the UK. Cybex does not have a phone number. If they provide any more info on this, I'll update the review. There is an update. The amount of movement in this video is normal according to Cybex. This may be reassuring to some people, but I worry that this amount of play in the seat will cause things to loosen over time.

👤Don't buy it! It doesn't work, but it is a great concept. The irresponsible certified professional told me that the car seat works by wiggling. It took me 8 months to realize that I should get a second opinion. My husband thought it was ok, but my heart was telling me it was not. wiggle is fine but not more than 1” according to another certified professional. That was not the case. She couldn't install this car seat. She installed the second one perfectly. I contacted the seller and they left me with a dead weight. They don't care if it's prime or not, it's about the policies of the seller. We don't care about your baby's life being risked since we sold you a faulty item, so we want you to talk to the manufacturer. It is upsetting and frustrating. I wish I could make this work, it is a great concept, but it is terrible and customer service is terrible. Completely disappointing.

6. Disney Baby Convertible Simply Mickey

Disney Baby Convertible Simply Mickey

The car seat is big. Rear facing up to 30 pounds and up to 32 inches. Side impact protection is superior to air. Stay in the car base with rebound protection. The innovative design allows for removal without re threading harness. Machine washed and dryer safe fabric. Machine washed and dryer safe fabric.

Brand: Safety 1st

👤We bought this car seat a few months ago. It fits in the back of our car. We were in a car accident yesterday and the front air bags deployed. Our son was secured in the back seat of the car. It was almost like he didn't know there had been an accident because this car seat kept him safe. He probably wouldn't have noticed anything if it weren't for the sirens and fire trucks. We are going to buy another one of these.

👤I read through the reviews and decided to write a review. I have had a car seat for a year. I wanted something that would stay in my car all the time, so I started using it when my baby was too heavy to carry in the infant seat. I like the design of the mickey mouse. I have installed every car seat I have ever owned in the same way, so I am not sure why others had a hard time installing it. We have gone through at least 6 or 7 car seats here. The anchor clips are the same as any other brand I have seen, and I have used other safety first styles as well. If your car has locking seatbelts, you can use the seatbelt install. If you use both methods at the same time, it can put too much stress on the seat and cause it to not function properly over time. The standard 5 point harness style is used in America and Canada. Some reviews said the straps were unsafe. I believe they wanted the old style harness with no chest clip, like they still use in Australia, the UK and Asia. This seat is easy to install. The material and padding is very soft for my baby. She can raise the back up as she gets taller. My daughter is smaller than average so I plan to rear face for a long time. I am happy that I found this seat that I can use throughout that time and that I can face her when she is older.

👤It's amazing! My daughter is about to be 6 months old on the 22nd and her legs have started to hang off the edge of the carrier so we needed to buy a new "Big girl" carseat. I was looking for a grow with me. I fell in love with the bonus features of this one. The impact cushions, the 2 cup holders, and the fact that I can remove the harness and use it as a seatbelt booster seat until she weighs 100 lbs were some of the reasons I decided to purchase this specific carseat. Not to mention the fact that it's a mickey mouse. I got the order 36 hours later. It was assembled completely. I had to pull it out of the box. Don't even think about how soft the material is. My baby girl loves her new carseat. I will never have to buy another carseat for her because of the "grow with me" aspect. I am 1000% satisfied with my order and would recommend this carseat again and again.

7. Britax Highpoint 2 Stage Belt Positioning Booster

Britax Highpoint 2 Stage Belt Positioning Booster

The high-point belt-positioning high back booster car seat is easy to covert to a backless booster to keep your child safer. 40 - 120 pounds and up to 63 inch height are the ideal fit. The big kid has foam padding and arm rests. The headrest's outer width is 14.5 inches. The ride is in style. The fabric in the vehicle looks great. External cushions, energy-absorbing shell, and foam-lined headrest are part of the side impact protection. External cushions, energy-absorbing shell, and foam-lined headrest are part of the side impact protection.

Brand: Britax

👤After reading about a 5 year old who was internally decapitated by a cheap booster seat, I immediately researched and ordered a new one the next day. I haven't had it long but it's great. I have a booster seat that is triple enforced on the side and it is a much more robust product than the other ones. I feel good about investing in my daughter's safety. The booster is still fantastic almost 9 months later. The car looks new and easy to use. Everyone loves it and I have recommended it to many friends.

👤We will never skimp on car seats and always get the best of the best. Britax is for us. Always. It is a no braineR choice for us because of the ease of use. When I bought a spare vehicle, I returned it because it was terrible, but I couldn't get it installed. People were complaining about the color. It is grey enough for me. I could see how it would look in some lights. Maybe? I have three girls so I wasn't worried. If you are thinking about spending money to get a Britax, do it. You will never regret spending money on a car seat, but you may regret not buying the best one if something happens. Britax is the best to buy.

👤Going from a low back booster to a high back booster was a challenge. I like the security of a car seat. I needed safety, comfort and two cup holders because my son outgrew them. There are not many brands with cup holders. The quality and luxury of the Graco is something that grandparents have. Absolutely recommend. I don't get to receive for free. 5 year old can use it on his own.

👤I have an older version where the back doesn't come off. My daughter and I were tired of exchanging seats all the time. I didn't mind spending the money because I knew my daughter would be safe. I like the brand of the car seat. Excellent product! It's easy to install and comfortable. My daughter is 7 years old and will be able to fit for awhile.

👤I needed the next stage for my daughter, but they all seem flimsy. The Britax infant carrier is worth the money. I was correct. The seat is rock solid. The seat is soft to the touch and resembles memory foam. The sides by her head are the same. My 6 year old is very comfortable with the latch system. It's worth the extra money for safety and quality. I ordered #2 for the car.

👤The seat is great but the top headrest is not gray. Not happy with the quality issue.

👤This is the first Britax booster for my 6 year old. The quality is inline with previous Britax seats. The sides of the head cushion could use more padding. The seats were used for a few days and we took a 1 hour road trip. My kid was complaining about his back every minute on the trip. He is not picky. The edge of the back was where the ALOT was stuck out. I will give it a few more days of break and try a few things. If things don't work out, I will return this item. I'm surprised the rating for this is above 3 stars on Amazon, it's a design issue.

8. Graco Atlas Harness Booster Glacier

Graco Atlas Harness Booster Glacier

Two seats are in a booster seat. The booster seat converts from a forward-facing harness to a highback belt-positioning seat. The Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows the head and harness to adjust in one motion. In belt-positioning booster mode, the integrated harness storage compartment stores unused harness straps. Your child's headrest grows with you. There are two recline positions and 10 head rest positions in a car seat. Keep your child's drink close with integrated, dual cup holders. The belt guides help position the seat belt.

Brand: Graco

👤One of the most important products for toddlers is a car seat. Consumer Reports recently finished testing on toddler-boosters and said parts of five popular toddler-booster car seats broke. What they found and what parents can do about it are included in this. Toddler-booster seats are forward facing and can be used initially with a five point harness and then they can be used as a booster with the car's own seat belts. All seats must meet federal safety crash test requirements in order to be sold, but Consumer Reports' crash evaluations are more rigorous. The Britax Frontier ClickTight, Britax Pioneer, Cosco Finale, Graco Atlas 65, and the Harmony Defender 360 booster seats were found to break when tested with dummies whose weight is close to the seat's limits. "If the harness or top tether breaks, it can compromise the seats' ability to protect the child in a subsequent crash event," said Consumer Reports. It may allow the child to move further forward, if the harness disengages completely, the seat is no longer restraining the child. There were no injuries related to the structural failures revealed in Consumer Reports crash tests. What should you do if you own one of these seats? CR says that you should not stop using the seat if you don't have a replacement. A basic margin of safety is provided by any car seat, and it is better than no seat at all. If your child is less than 40 pounds, you can use this seat with the five-point harness. If your child weighs more than 40 pounds, you should use the seats in booster mode. CR says you should replace your car seat if it's too small for it to fit the booster and vehicle seat belts correctly. Britax, Cosco, Graco, and Harmony all stated that their seats meet federal standards and that CR's testing differed from the government's. Consumer Reports says that the best way to replace a child's car seat is with a new one.

👤The part that protects his brain broke and fell off. When I went to clean the pads, I found out. Take the pads off if you have one. I have four of these. I want to replace them all.

👤Absolutely love it! I don't need a car seat anymore. I think it's the total package. My car looks great again, and I'm confident that my son is safe. The last car seat was green and covered in stains within a month. There are a few features that I like. There will never be a stain that I can't remove. My son falls asleep in the car a lot, so no more bobbing head. My son's head is kept straight while he sleeps. My son can't escape the easy buckle. TheRemovable cover is easy to keep clean. There are more features, but the ones listed were most important to me.

👤I ordered two car seats at the same time and they both arrived a year ago. They only have 6 years left. If you are buying a new product, it should be within a month or two of the manufacture date. If you have a smaller SUV that allows for reclining back seats, you can recline the seats in my ford f350. The recline option makes it easier for the kids to sleep. The shoulder heigh adjustment is very easy to do. It's a big plus that cheaper options make you rethread. The seat is light and made of plastic which the higher end GRACO's have a steel core. The push to click seat belt style found on higher end car seats is not the same as the simple metal clasps under the seat. The materials are plastic and the fabric is not the most durable, but I'm very happy with my purchase, it was a year old when we received them. If life span is important to you, you might want to check with the vendor before ordering. Thanks!

9. Disney Baby Convertible Mouseketeer Minnie

Disney Baby Convertible Mouseketeer Minnie

Kids can ride longer with extended use. Rear facing 5 40 pounds and forward facing 22 50 pounds. Side impact protection. The seat pad is safe to use in the dryer. 5 point harness with adjustment. 6 harness heights and 3 buckle locations allow for the best fit for growing children. 6 harness heights and 3 buckle locations allow for the best fit for growing children.

Brand: Disney

👤It is a nice seat. It is not for everyone. This car seat is different because it is not designed to fit the height and weight requirements that it claims are impossible. My daughter is only 25.5 inches tall and her head is already at the top of the car seat shell. She is 14 months old and has 18 pounds on her, she doesn't sit comfortably in it, she is all slumpy looking in the seat. The mickey/Minnie design is cute, but there is not a lot of cushion for accident protection, so go with a better car seat.

👤I haven't installed it yet, so I'm only giving it a 3 star. The bright red appears to be the same color as the orange red. There isn't a Mickey on the bottom right. The seat cover has labels sewn on it. The box says it was made in America. Booster says it was made in China. The product says Doral isn't anywhere. I know Dorel is the owner of cosco. Is this a true Disney product or a knock off? It seems like it's not right. Where is the signature? Don't advertise Made in America if it's clearly assembled in America. If it is not a counterfeit that is unsafe, it is worth the price, but it is not as advertised. I contacted Doral. The seat is genuine. Customer service is very professional. I did not have to ask for the wrong cover. She told me it would arrive by the end of the week. According to Doral, the seat feels flimsy because it is made to move during a crash to absorb pressure rather than the child. It makes sense. Customer service gets a rating. There was an update on December 16. I have had many phone conversations with Doral. According to customer service, the Mickey signature car seat padding has been discontinued. I make it for the APT 40. I don't know why they discontinued it for one size car seat. Customer service still gets a five star rating from me. They sent a car seat pad. It was the same as the one on the original car seat. They said they would send a gift for my grandson. They said it would take about two weeks. If you order a APT 50 carseat, your pad will not have Mickey written on the bottom right corner. 12/18: I wanted to keep this seat, but I had to fit it to my 34 inch. The grandson's shoulder straps were set at second from top. As he grows, I tried them at the highest set, but couldn't get the straps to reach the anchor to connect on the back. I was able to get them connected, but there is not a way to fit an older child in the seat. I tried to see if wrong straps were sent, but have not heard back. We wanted to use this seat in our grandparents car as he grows. It won't work with these short straps. I am a nurse so I have a lot of experience managing things. They sent a gift for my grandson who had been through a lot. It was a baby toy. I don't want to sound thankless, but he is 2 don't patronizing your custamers. The shell is made in the use, but Doral has some work to do on the seat. It works for some, but not in 6mo. It's not as advertised.

10. Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Seat Gotham

Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Seat Gotham

Your child's car seat can grow from a rear-facing harness to a forward-facing harness. Your child can safely ride rear-facing longer with the Extend2fit 4-position panel. Your child can ride rear-facing for up to 50 pounds. The Protect Plus is engineered by Graco. The plush head and body inserts help keep your baby comfortable. Simply Safe has a no-rethread harness and a no-rethread headrest. Simply Safe has a no-rethread harness and a no-rethread headrest.

Brand: Graco

👤This is our 8th car seat and 5th child. We have had several before this one. It's my favorite of all the car seats we've ever had, so I had to review it. It's seriously. The Diono is heavy and difficult to adjust to, the Britax is cumbersome, and the Evenflos are cheap and thin. None of them have covers that are easy to wash. The covers are easy to put back together. The metal parts you want to be safe and sturdy are latches, tether, etc. The adjusting pieces are large and easy to grasp. Oh! That is the other thing. I couldn't get my hand into any of the others in the way I needed to, not for adjusting, not for installing, and not for moving stuff around. I can get my paw through the appropriate areas. The harness adjustment feature is enough to give repeat business. I didn't say anything dirty while installing. Heeheehee

👤I couldn't ask for a better car seat when I bought it at Target. My daughter is 16 months old and still rear facing, she is very comfortable with the extended leg room. She was laughing and playing in the back seat of the car that was totaled in the accident, even though nothing happened. I just added it to my cart and will be buying it again for my new car.

👤I was frustrated with how hard it was to tighten the seatbelt. You need to have the strength of 10,000 people to tighten it. I figured it out. Pull the slack from around the child's hips once the chest clip and belt are buckled. The chest clip and shoulder strap covers should be lowered. The slack is above the chest clip. The strap needs to be tightened. It will be very easy. We shouldn't have to go through this, but once you know how to do it, it's not bad. It is easy to remove the cover, but it is not so easy to put it on. The seat cover is secured with small elastic loops. The loops need to be threaded through small holes to reach the hook. If you don't have a crochet hook, you will throw the seat away. With the crochet hook, I was able to thread the elastic loop through the small holes and over the fastening hooks with very little effort.

👤We don't plan ahead very well. We were worried when our kid was upgraded to a convertible car seat. We weren't sure if we would be able to find a small car that fit my wife's small car. We looked for a budget friendly car seat because we are already spending an arm and leg for diaper changing. We wanted something to keep him calm. We have three digit temperatures where we are located, which means we have something that could fit in a corolla and the passenger didn't have to move their seat to the point where they were kissing the dash. The fact that it grows with the child makes it a better investment than a budget friendly convertible seat. The fabric allows our son to breathe during the hot days. He gets a little sweat on his back but that is normal with all car seats. I know he doesn't mind the seat because he always passes out with each car ride. We were able to keep the front passenger and driver seat in the back of the car. I enjoy any little leg room I can get. This seat is perfect for your child.

👤The item is not good, but I like the concept. I don't understand the reviews. This item was very weak and flimsy. The piece of plastic that holds the footrest in place is very fragile and can break easily. The product makes clear on the item, box, and instructions not to use it as a step. That makes no sense. Your child will have to stand on the footrest for the most briefest moment in order to get out of the seat. Are we supposed to place our kids in the seat in order to avoid stepping on this thing? It's ridiculous. I don't understand why manufacturers do this. Please make a quality product. If the product is good, we will happily pay the higher price for it. But to charge us $50 for a flimsy product? We have 2 kids, that's $100 for a substandard item. You have to be kidding. We were happy to return ours. I recommend that you stay away from this item.

👤When my 6 year old started to complain about numbness in his feet after long car rides, I started looking for a footrest. I settled on this one because it looked good. I ordered one to try out because they addressed the problems that I was experiencing and the same unit would be able to give relief to my younger kids as well. The locking mechanism on the foot plate broke after the second use. I don't think it's obvious where it might have popped out of place. I expected the build on this footrest to be more sturdy, given all of the advertising for crash testing. When I heard a pop and the two tabs locked the footplate in the open position, I activated the mechanism to move the footplate into place. I'm not sure if I want to request a second unit because I'm not sure how quickly this broke. I will be sending this back to Amazon after requesting a refund.

👤I put this in my car for my son who is in a booster seat. The installation took a while. The car's latch system was to blame. It was difficult to attach this to the latches. It wouldn't stay in place after it was installed. The most frustrating part was folding the footrest so my son could get in and out of the car. My fingers are sore from trying to adjust the footrest. It wouldn't fold down. I'm going to take everything out of my car. What a waste!

👤It's hard to keep in place and the leather seats tear up. They wouldn't return or replace it after 8 months, even though they bought a product warranty, because they couldn't adjust to my 45 inch tall child. Total waste.

👤I have had this for more than a year. It was easy to use when I first got it. It was difficult to get it adjusted, but we eventually got it. I adjusted it twice after installing it. It was difficult, but we got it. After less than a year of use, it was stuck and we haven't been able to adjust it any more. I can't change the slant. The foot rest is stuck in place, but the bar will go up and down. I tried a second time and it didn't work. I want to change the position of my son, but I have not been able to because everything is in place. I paid $50 for a plastic stool. I'm giving it two stars for the first 6 months, because it used to do what it was supposed to do.
