Installation of a car seat is easy because of the push button latch connectors and built in lock offs. No rethreading, ever: Quick adjust 10 position harness with headrest grows along with your child. Remove the car seat cover without removing the harness. Side impact protection, steel frame, impact absorbing base, and forward movement are designed for safety. It fits. The rear facing 5 to 40 pounds and the forward facing 20 to 65 pounds are 26 x 18 x 21 inches. It fits. The rear facing 5 to 40 pounds and the forward facing 20 to 65 pounds are 26 x 18 x 21 inches.
👤The seat is FAA approved, but can't be used with a seatbelt. The seat is designed so that the belt goes between the plastic shell and the cushion, which means that the seatbelt installation cannot be done when the baby is in the carseat. The plane buckle ends up under the baby's back or bottom. No way around it. I tried different types of aircraft from 2 different companies, but nothing worked. This is a design flaw for a seat that is approved by the FAA. It hasn't been tested for airplane travel.
👤I returned my Extend2fit because I couldn't get my daughters straps to fit against her chest. The carseat is easy to adjust. The straps loosen and tighten just as easily with the simple press of the lever. After fighting with the Extend2Fit, it was a relief to know that it was not right. The manual says to be reclined all the way into the third position for rear facing, which was ridiculously easy just like everything else about this seat, so ignore the review that says "does not recline", because the "recline" bar is bright red and says "RECLINE" The best thing about this carseat is that it doesn't have to be threaded at babys shoulders. The back of the seat has a panel that clicks up and down to adjust the height of the straps. It could not be any harder. I had to remove the gray flexible chest straps because my daughter is small and they couldn't fit against her belly. The booklet said that they were designed for when your child is forward facing, as they are an extra shock absorbing safety feature. The seat is easy to adjust, and as a mother I feel more confident that my daughter will be safe in it. I would have gotten this instead if I had known what I know now, because I would have wasted time looking for a sale price on that one.
👤My son is 1.5 years old and I have used the Britax Allegiance with him since day one, and now use it for my daughter. These car seats are very easy to install. I used a Gracco car seat at the in-laws when we were there and it was very cheap and not very sturdy. The only way Britax could improve on this car seat is if they made it recline at more of an angle for infants. When we brought the children home from the hospital, they were almost sitting upright because there was not enough angle. These car seats are not included.
👤This carseat is so exciting! Love the cushion behind the seatbelt. It was easy to install.
👤We love our Britax car seats. Our kids are comfortable in them and we don't worry about their safety when using them. They fit into all of our vehicles, from our small sedan to minivan.
👤I own 5 britax car seats for my 6 grandsons and will only buy this brand in the future. I have ever bought a car seat that was the safest and most durable.
Newborn positions are safe and convenient. The newborn travel high wedge is used to create a lie-flat travel position. The innovative technology helps to keep the airway open. Remove the wedge as your baby grows to allow the infant positioning liner. Rear-FACING FOR LONGER. The slimfit convertible car seat is designed to keep your child's rear facing up to 50 lbs. Approx. 7 kilo. 4 years old. A car for 10 years. As your child grows, the radian 3RXT will adapt to fit your child up to 120 lbs. The ultimate protection for your child is created by the reinforced steel core, made from automotive grade high density plastic and steel. The original 3 Across is built with a radian slim fit convertible design to fit 3 across in most vehicles without compromising child or passenger comfort. 👤We bought a radian for our second child and loved it. It is the most secure car seat I have ever strapped my kid into, and we have owned a lot of Graco and installed in several different models and types of car. I had to fight for more than 30 minutes in my mom's Ford Explorer with Graco and wanted to set the car on fire after she made me move it over in the hot Texas weather. I install mine and won't move it for any force in heaven or hell unless I am flying, so it's not like I do a daily ruck march with it. Diono is giving you a crappy, thin car seat cover and charging the same price as they did before. The difference between the two year model and the 3RXT is so large that you can tell they have changed their minds. I don't see how it isn't going to pill in the wash because it has less padding and is thinner. My child is going to destroy it. Most of the pics are in the "feel", but I have included a reference to old versus new. The fabric in the upper trim series car seat is supposed to last 10 years and cost $300, but I find this very disappointing. It's the same microfiber that I use on a couple of wal-mart $30 booster seats, or on universal car covers. I think it will turn green in the sun. The color of my radian ixt is the same as when I bought it two years ago and it has been washed a lot. I thought the car seat I received was the wrong one, because it said "Radian R" and the fabric was not stamped with the words. I think my confusion is reasonable because it shows on the box as "Radian RXT". They have pictures on their website and on Amazon. Nope. They are all the same fabric. Diono, car seats are expensive when you have to replace them constantly as you have kids, or have more than one so you aren't dealing with the logistics of changing cars with your spouse or parents just to get kids from point A to point B. Parents can easily save a lot of money by buying something less expensive. I wonder if they are as innovative as Diono claims, because I see a star there for the cheapness. If a company wants to repeat business, they need to do things well across the board. I came back because I loved it so much. I'm not sure if I need another one or if they'll go back to better covers. For reference, these install amazingly well in Toyota corolla, Sienna and Highlander and even the tiny Prius, but rear face in a Prius puts the front seat up too far for anyone over 5'6 to sit comfortably. You will still be angry if its leather, because they really didn't want anyone to use them and they are set too close together, so cranking down and getting the seat tight enough is a hassle. Don't let the entertainment package on a Ford Explorer fool you, not a young family with car seats.
The rear facing of the 3 in 1 seating system is from 4-40 pounds. Up to 100 pounds in booster mode. Side impact protection with cell protects your child's head where it's needed most in a side impact crash. The harness holders keep the straps out of the way. Easy click-in for better installation is what the 1 click latch system has. A quick fit shoulder harness raises the harness and height. A quick fit shoulder harness raises the harness and height.
👤Since 2007, we have used Maxi Cosi for all of our children. Due to a car accident, we had to replace the Pria 85 for our last two littles. The seats performed well during the accident, and my 3 month old stayed asleep through the whole thing. After an accident, car seats must be replaced. We decided to try the new 3 and 1 because we thought it would be an upgrade. It is not. It feels nice with all the padding, but as soon as you remove it, there's almost no comfort left. You can see the curve of the plastic frame underneath the cover. I would have had to replace all of our sippy cups if we had kept the seat. We couldn't get it mounted properly in our large expedition because of the two other things. We ordered the Pria Max 85 direct from Maxi Cosi at a sale price of $220 each, and returned them almost immediately. That seat is a thousand times better than this one. Better quality fabric, better comfort, more stable infant inserts, magnetic chest clips, and an appropriate sized cup holder are some of the things that have been improved.
👤The seat is hard to tilt when a child is sleeping. We had a cosi for three years and thought aboutUpgrading, but I'm going to return it and go back to the old seat. My daughter's head is falling forward.
👤My daughter is 6 months old and she is in a car seat. I was worried that it wouldn't fit in my car. It was fine. The passenger seat has to be completely forward so no one can sit there. The car seat is beautiful. It was very comfortable for my daughter. I would highly recommend them because of how safe and secure they are.
👤Oh my good fortune. My son is happy in this seat. It is safe and comfortable for him. So happy! He is 11 months old and dislikes travel. He will sometimes fall asleep in the car because of this seat.
👤I really wanted to use this seat. There were a few things that I noticed when I put my boys in it. The fabric was nice and the boys seemed to be comfortable in it. The seat is very deep. I am not sure that would work for my son. The main issue that I noticed during this initial fitting was that the buckle was very cheap and it almost had sharp edges that could potentially dig into their skin. The straps were thin and other reviewers had complained about it. The car seat was light for its size and made me wonder if it was safe during a side impact collision. I still liked the seat despite this being a deal breaker. Installation was the problem, which is why I returned it. There is a If I only needed this as a forward facing car seat, I could keep it, but I need it rear facing for at least another year as my boys are 11 months old and weigh 20 pounds. The car seats are great, but Rear facing is terrible, and it would have made it a great forward facing seat for them. It didn't fit in my car. I own a Toyota Highlander and it should not have been a problem. I had to move my seat. The seat was easy to install, but my husband couldn't get it tight enough. You could press a finger on the back of the car seat and the base would flip so that the head of the car seat was touching the head of the highlander. This is a huge problem. If we had been a collision, the seat could flip forward with my child in it. We couldn't refuse to do this no matter what we tried. We read the manual multiple times and tried to adjust it. It wouldn't fit. It wouldn'tlatch down correctly. It is going back! I have the Britax Marathon, Britax Emblem and Graco 4ever. I will try to find one that works, but sadly it is not.
The 3-In-1 convertible car seat has a maximum weight of up to 100 pounds in Booster mode. Side impact protection technology with GCell protects your child's head where it's needed most in a side impact crash. The clipquik auto-magnetic chest clip will get you to your destination quickly. The harness covers are out of the way. While getting in and out of the convertible car seat, the flip away buckle won't get in the way. While getting in and out of the convertible car seat, the flip away buckle won't get in the way.
👤UNSAFE! Way too loose! It was in my car for 10 minutes before I decided to leave. Definitely not for rear facing. The seat belt goes through the car seat under the baby's legs, so there is no holding the back of the car seat down. The manual says the buckles should move more than a half inch, but they were pulled as tight as possible. This is supposed to grow with your child. Work forward facing but not SAFE rear facing.
👤I was very excited to purchase this car seat, but after trying to install it, I will be returning it. If you remove the belt you will see a stitch which limits the amount of tighten it can be, this car seat was moving way more than the allotted 1 inch, as well as tipping over. The instructions for installing it say you may need to use a towel to adjust the level. Really? Britax's infant car seat is better than that. I think I will go back to Britax.
👤My son and I love this car seat. Even though the weight limit said he could stay in his infant seat for another 10 lbs, he was too big for it. The Maxi Cosi is a great seat for my little guy. Lots of leg room and head room, but also supportive. The strap clips are gorgeous. You don't have to worry about setting those aside when you are trying to get your child into the seat. I didn't have to worry about putting the seat in my car by myself. I would recommend it.
👤My child was excited to see the baby arrive. She can sit up and see now that she has upgraded. The car seat is very comfortable and my little is very pleased with it. I would still buy it even though it is big and bulky. It's very easy to install and just adjust the straps. Take out the baby and put it in. Not bad for the price.
👤Excellent quality carseat. The carseat is large compared to others I looked at. I have a vehicle. The front passenger seat cannot be reclined after installation. The driver and passenger could not recline their seats while we tried to install in the center seat of the 2nd row. The seat was installed for rear facing. The installation was a pain in the ass. I tried to install it with my husband. Installation instructions of the Quick Guide seem to conflict with the User Manual. We had to use a large noodle to get the seat level. The box got thrown out, so I would have returned the seat.
👤The carseat is not designed to be in the back. Our car doesn't recline very well. My 7 months old is sitting down. The carseat is very comfortable if used forward.
👤I wish I had bought it for all three of my children. The easiest car seat you will ever own is this one. It took me 3 minutes to put it in my car. My child hated her infant seat and was very picky about riding in the car. She had to make sure her next car seat was the right fit. The seat cover is so soft and plush that you can't do online shopping without it. I don't pull out sweaty babies in the den of humidity. She doesn't scream to just be out. We traveled for 3 hours with no issues. She loves her car seat. I always knew that having to find the straps was a convenience. The one handed chest clip is a dream. I love this seat so much. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Looking for frontier has upgraded its design. ClickTight is their newest harness to booster car seat. It is right in just 3 easy steps with a ClickTight. Buckle, open, thread, close. The shoulder width is 12 inches. As your child grows from toddler to big kid, you can easily switch from forward facing harness mode to belt positioning booster mode. Cool flow mesh fabric helps keep your child cool. Soft pads keep your child's neck from rubbing against the harness strap. Soft pads keep your child's neck from rubbing against the harness strap.
👤This thing is a tank, it is the heaviest car seat/booster/harness I have ever seen, and I have four installed in my car at the moment. If you have a compact car and more than two kids in a car seat, this is not a great option. We absolutely love this unit. The Britax one is not the only one that the older kids fight over who can sit on. Installation. Their new clicking system works well and is easy to install. You put your shoulder-lap regular seat belts through the button in the bottom area of the backrest, and then pull it tight, as seen in the pics, to get the bottom section up. This is where it shines, we have our 7 year old and our 4 year old in the third row, which is difficult to get to without moving the second row. The unit is so easy to operate that we thought our 7 year old would be able to help his sister get buckled up, he is able to get her all hooked up by himself, and all we have to do is make sure it is secure. Features: The unit is very comfortable for the little ones, especially on long trips, because it is covered in memory foam. We haven't yet used the booster feature because our little girl is too small, but it seems like it's a very simple conversation to reprogram the seat belts. Over all: We feel that this unit will do a great job of keeping our kids comfortable and safe, and it has not disappointed, we have three child car seats from this brand. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures, please let me know by clicking on theHelpful button below and I will do my best to answer your questions. Thank you for cheering. There is a person named Cass.
👤The Britax brand carseats are the best. They are very safe, comfortable, and beautiful seats. I was rear ended while out with my son two days before he was 2 years old. The vehicle was totaled in the accident. I usually allow my youngest to sit in the Britax seat because it is so safe and easy to adjust heights. I'm glad I did that day. When we were hit, my neck and head slammed so hard that I knew it was broken. I was afraid for my son. I knew he was scared but I was not. He was snug in Britax 5pt harnass. I was very sick and injured that week. My 2 year period never had any complaints of sore muscles. His neck was fine. I was thankful for this. I knew I would stick with Britax when I replaced the seats. I am very pleased with the upgraded version, it is the same safety as the older version, and seems more plush. My boys are happy with their new seats. The two cup holders are great for drinks and toys. I paid full price for all of our seats so that nobody was wondering, I didn't receive anything to write this. This is a color that I love. They fit perfectly in my car.
The canopy has an angle and height for UV protection. There is additional shade protection on either side of the car seat. The 4-in-1 seating system has a rear facing infant mode. Toddler mode from 18 to 40 lbs. The forward facing mode is from 22 to 65 lbs. The belt positioning booster mode is from 40 to 100 lbs. Child can quickly adjust the canopy when the car is moving and the sun is coming from multiple directions. The Comfort Cabin at the CoverMe has extra padding to make the child comfortable on long rides. There is no rethread harness. Three recline positions allow front seat passengers to have extra legroom, while an integrated recline flip foot gives the right angle and allows dual adjustment. It's at its widest, for three across in most vehicles. The Baby Trend CoverMe 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat can fit three children across in most vehicles. 👤The product listing has a different name. The listing calls it 3 in 1, but it is actually 4 in 1. The name needs to be changed quickly. The most important thing is the expiration date. Do not use this car seat in harness mode for 7 years after the date on the back of the seat. The Booster Car Seat Mode will not work after the date on the back of the seat. This is a great car seat. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that other brands have, but it's a great car seat for the price. The canopy is the BOMB, it is comfortable, stylish, and has dual cup holders. My kids are spoiled when it comes to sun protection because my SUV has sun shades for them. They were agitated that the sun was in their eyes when they rode in my mom's car. This car seat solved the problem. It is easy to install. The car seat is $100 cheaper than some of the higher end brands, but it is not as easy to adjust. I needed a car seat for my kids to use in my mom's car so they wouldn't fall into it. I have 2 kids in car seats. All of them have different seating requirements. I was stressed out by having to constantly change car seats between cars, and knowing we would be adding a third child to the mix. I needed an all in one car seat that could be adjusted to fit my family in a single seating system so I didn't have to install car seats into my mom's car. This single car seat can be adjusted to fit all three of my kids. It does. The infant is facing the Rear Facing Infant. Toddler mode from 18 to 40 lbs. The forward facing mode has a weight limit of 22 to 65 lbs. I know some people think the belt positioning booster is bulky, but it is actually smaller than the other car seats in my SUV. If you have a smaller car, the canopy isn't going to obstruct your view because it's larger. I am happy with the car seat. It is safe, comfortable, and I am not having to move my car seats between vehicles anymore. I will get to try the infant seating positions soon. Hope this review was helpful.
👤Beautiful! Looks comfortable. The sun shade is my favorite thing about it. You can't find a car seat with a sun shade. It is helpful.
👤The design and canopy are great. I have a small child with no head support. This carseat review will try and update down the road.
👤We have bought several car seats so that we don't have to move them between 3 cars. This is the easiest thing to do. I can easily slide the shade from the front seat if my granddaughter is sleeping. She is going to fly twice in the next couple months and I really liked that it was approved by the FAA. She will be very comfortable flying. We did not get her until she was a year old, but the pads and comfort would be great for an infant. It is worth the extra money.
The car seat can grow through 3 stages. Rear facing 5 40 pounds, forward facing 22 65 pounds, and belt positioning booster 40 to 100 pounds. Side impact protection. It's easy to get your child out of the seat with the harness held back. For a comfortable ride, grow with baby pillows. It is possible to fit a quick fit harness for easy adjustment. It is possible to fit a quick fit harness for easy adjustment.
👤We bought this car seat a few months ago. It fits in the back of our car. We were in a car accident yesterday and the front air bags deployed. Our son was secured in the back seat of the car. It was almost like he didn't know there had been an accident because this car seat kept him safe. He probably wouldn't have noticed anything if it weren't for the sirens and fire trucks. We are going to buy another one of these.
👤I read through the reviews and decided to write a review. I have had a car seat for a year. I wanted something that would stay in my car all the time, so I started using it when my baby was too heavy to carry in the infant seat. I like the design of the mickey mouse. I have installed every car seat I have ever owned in the same way, so I am not sure why others had a hard time installing it. We have gone through at least 6 or 7 car seats here. The anchor clips are the same as any other brand I have seen, and I have used other safety first styles as well. If your car has locking seatbelts, you can use the seatbelt install. If you use both methods at the same time, it can put too much stress on the seat and cause it to not function properly over time. The standard 5 point harness style is used in America and Canada. Some reviews said the straps were unsafe. I believe they wanted the old style harness with no chest clip, like they still use in Australia, the UK and Asia. This seat is easy to install. The material and padding is very soft for my baby. She can raise the back up as she gets taller. My daughter is smaller than average so I plan to rear face for a long time. I am happy that I found this seat that I can use throughout that time and that I can face her when she is older.
👤It's amazing! My daughter is about to be 6 months old on the 22nd and her legs have started to hang off the edge of the carrier so we needed to buy a new "Big girl" carseat. I was looking for a grow with me. I fell in love with the bonus features of this one. The impact cushions, the 2 cup holders, and the fact that I can remove the harness and use it as a seatbelt booster seat until she weighs 100 lbs were some of the reasons I decided to purchase this specific carseat. Not to mention the fact that it's a mickey mouse. I got the order 36 hours later. It was assembled completely. I had to pull it out of the box. Don't even think about how soft the material is. My baby girl loves her new carseat. I will never have to buy another carseat for her because of the "grow with me" aspect. I am 1000% satisfied with my order and would recommend this carseat again and again.
The 3-in-1 car seat can be used in a rear-facing harness, forward-facing harness, and highback booster. The Anti-Rebound Bar provides an additional layer of rear-facing safety by limiting rotation of the seat and your child in the event of an impact. Your child can safely ride rear-facing longer with the Extend2fit 4-position panel. Your child can ride rear-facing for up to 50 lbs. A combination of the most rigorous crash tests helps to protect your little one in crashes. A combination of the most rigorous crash tests helps to protect your little one in crashes.
👤A great looking car seat. Installation is easy if you have the rebound bar. I need to use my knee to put the thigh in because I am not the strongest person. The blue 'Safety First' car seat is in my pictures, no matter how much effort I put, the sit is never thigh enough and always moves side to side, so it's fairly easy. The installation of the Gracco sit is not as easy as it was in the past, but it does require some work to install. The rebound bar and extension for the legs are great additions for safety and comfort. If you don't have a big car, you won't be able to use the extension panel for the legs, and the front sit passenger won't be able to use it. The front seat cannot be touched when the car seat is installed rear facing. I put the sit in my Toyota Highlander 2015, and it is very close to the dash, thanks to the 5" panel extension. I'm only 5 feet tall, so I can sit there, but a bigger person won't fit. I moved the sit close to the dash in a Toyota corolla 2020, but it didn't fit in the rear facing car. While considering this seat, keep that in mind. The fit was another thing I loved about this sit. It's a sit that can be used for the whole time a kid needs a car seat. The fit for newborns is excellent, it reclines all the way, keeping a baby with no body coordination well positioned, and the head doesn't move to the sides or hangs. The Safety First brand sit is very tall for older kids. I have a 7 year old who is barely fitting in the Safety First seat and uses a 5 point harness. When the child is forward facing the belts need to be above the shoulder, and when the baby is rear facing the belts need to be bellow the shoulder, as per the manual. You will be able to use the harness with older kids with this sit. My kid is 50 years old and has enough space to grow and use the 5 point harness in the Gracco Sit, but she is not able to use the Safety First sit because she is not under the weight limit. I have used several car seats for my children and take their safety very seriously. I think this is a good car seat for this price point. I don't think you will be able to fit 3 car seats using this one, it is very wide. When the car seat is in the smallest setting, the harness is a little thigh to pull. It's kind of annoying that the cup holders are easy to detach from. It has a compartment to store the harness when the sit is used as a tall back booster and I find it very convenient. The sit is very easy to use for a newborn, a toddler, or a 7 year old, and it's designed for different stages of development, just pull the recliner button, pull the head up or down, and it's very easy to use.
It was designed to help protect your rear facing child from 5-40 pounds. Simply Safe Harness System adjusts the harness and headrest height with one easy motion. A combination of the most rigorous crash tests that helps to protect your child in frontal, side, rear, and rollover crashes; additional testing based on the New Car Assessment Program and for extreme car interior temperatures is what the Protect Plus engineered is. The headrest is easy to adjust using one hand. Installation in the rear-facing position using LATCH and an easy to read level indicator was painless. Installation in the rear-facing position using LATCH and an easy to read level indicator was painless.
👤I wish I could give this seat a 3.5 star rating, but that option doesn't exist, so I went up to a four instead of a three. This car seat has been with us since February of 2016 It's been about 8 months since I wrote this, and it's been one year. When we purchased this car seat for my son, he was just one year old. He is an average sized child. We were in a passenger side impact car accident on the freeway last week and need to replace this car seat because my son was in it when it was side swiped. As I was thinking about what I would like in the next car seat, I thought about some things I don't like about this car seat, as well as some things I like. I thought it would be helpful for people to see my list of pros and cons after using the Condender 65 for over a year and a half. I kept my son safe in the car accident. The five point harness system was still installed tightly and there were no visible signs of damage. It's really affordable. It was cheap, but not cheap quality-wise. I didn't want to spend $300 on a Britax car seat if I could get away with it. I never considered the cup holder when buying a car seat because my son was barely a year old, but it has been great for holding toys, drinks, and snacks. It's easy to clean. The Britax and Chicco convertible models don't have cup holders built in which is a big problem for me. The ones that clip on seem flimsy and I've read a lot of mixed reviews that make those kinds of cupholders seem more an "afterthought" and don't really feel like a part of the seat. My son knows that he would pull them off and throw them on the floor. I read a review where a mom said her child did this for $30 to sit on the floor of their car. It's fairly light without feeling flimsy. It is 15.2 lbs, which sounds right to me. My niece has a Britax Pioneer car seat that is 26 lbs. The "Simply Safe Adjust" harness system at the top of the car seat is very convenient. It's nice to be able to press a button and pull it as your child grows, instead of having to re-thread the straps. It's easy to rethread the buckle. There is no "recline" button, but this could be a pro or con. If you are using the seat for forward or rear facing, you just flip the little wedge at the base of the seat. I never had an issue with it. We used it for both forward and rear facing. The little ball that indicates proper positioning was in the perfect place each time, without any adjustments or boosting in my Honda Pilot. Black straps! They hide the stains and clean them easily. All of the cons are personal preference and convenience issues. I have no doubt that this car seat is safe. It is difficult to move this seat from one car to another. The cheaper 'hook' style of straps are the ones that are used in cars, not the nicer ones that have a button like a seatbelt. They're a problem to get out of. It's a pain and a half to get in and out of my parents' BMW 5 series and my husband's Honda Civic, so I've transferred this from my Honda Pilot to my husband's Honda Civic. I end up sweaty and swearing. It is not helpful that the strap you use to adjust the seat is only on one side, so you have to climb into your vehicle or mess with it. We had to change it twice. When it came out of the box, my son was in the back of the car, and the adjuster was on the left side of the seat. It's more convenient to have the strap on the side of the door. You have to thread the belt through the seat because you can't just pull it out. When my son switched to forward facing, we had to adjust it again. These are the little things that you don't want to waste time on as a parent. If you could adjust the slack/tightness from both sides, it would be much more convenient. The little bar clip with a button that allows you to adjust the latch belt on the one side is very frustrating to use. It does nothing when you press it half the time. It is supposed to let go of its grip on the belt so you can get slack in the belt to remove the latch from the car or tighten it. My friend's car seat has an issue with the latch button. I am not a bad person, but I have lost patience trying and sometimes I have to ask my husband to mess with it. Stains. I have always been too lazy to take the entire cover off and wash it, even though I was positive I could remove the seat after the accident, because I didn't think I could do it. I have never been able to get the stains out of the seat insert with bleach. I wish they were easier to clean because it looks filthy, unfortunately, with a toddler it's unavoidable. I couldn't get the stains out of this seat, so I gave up. We had a seat in Glacier. The gray is shown in a photo. If you remove the lighter gray seat pad, the stains won't show. The little pad has always been left in for comfort. My friend with the same car seat has said that they washed the seat after their daughter had an accident and it took quite some time to dry. She didn't think the fabric would hold up to multiple machine washings. The five point harness that goes over the child is very difficult to use. I had a lot of issues with them not adjusting equally, which is unsafe. The straps seem prone to twisting and making the buckle backwards. The pull strap at the base of the seat can be difficult to pull tight enough. I felt like I would be pulling and yanking and it wouldn't be tight enough, so it drove me crazy. There is no recline handle to adjust the seat's incline. This could be considered a pro or con depending on how you look at it. The most important thing about the Contender 65 is that it kept my son safe in an accident, even though I didn't care for it much. We decided on the 4Ever car seat from Graco because I have faith in them. It fixes most of the "cons" on this list and has all of the features I loved about the Contender 65. I paid $238 for it on Amazon, but the price has fluctuated, and I've seen it as low as $199 on Amazon.
Rear-facing 4 to 22 pounds and less. A revolutionary 3-piece modular system. There are four modes of carry: cross-body carry, handle carry, standard carry and stroller carry. The pull tab makes it easy to adjust the length of the cross-body flex strap. The inner carrier is about 5 lbs. The inner carrier is about 5 lbs.
👤I like the features it shows but it's frustrating to remove the inner shell from the baby in it. It will be so frustrating if you are in a rush and trying to get the inner shell out. The car seat is heavy. The cross body strap is too large for a short mom. I like the concept but it is not for everyone. I returned it.
👤I had a baby at 33 weeks. She fit perfectly into this car seat when she came home. If you want to cover baby up, you have to buy a cast seat cover or canopy separately.
👤The car seat has no recline. The seat is too upright and my baby's head always falls forward. It ends up being very upright because it has an extra carrier that fits into the other piece. For a young infant, you want them to be strong so they don't fall backwards and not be able to breathe. I can not fit a second seat in my double stroller because it takes up too much room, so I don't like how it sits on my baby jogger stroller. I like the fact that it has a lighter carrier, but it doesn't have a visor, so the sun gets in your baby's eyes. You have a heavy car seat if you need to carry the visor part. I wasn't impressed.
👤La silla es grande, pero bastante Bonita y tiene las dos formas de cargar. No es para nada sencilla de instalar y al final comprob, la base vena daada, la instalé con los latch. A seguro para una silla de bebé. Amazon me acept la devolucin.
👤I have it side by side with the NUNA Pipa RX Infant Car seat. It appears my baby is more comfortable and relaxed in this, the canopy is bigger and the 3-module structure makes it easy to detach the top inner carrier, which is light, not bulky and easy to carry. You can't go wrong with this seat.
👤We were drawn to the idea of a light carrier with a strap, and the fact that the base should include a load leg, a feature that should be included in every car seat. We had to return the seat because it was so short. We wouldn't trust it with our baby. The US car seat regulations are not as strict as those in Europe, and it is frustrating when European manufacturers choose to supply the US market with inferior bases to cheap out on the ignorant. The seat is secured to the base by only a single point and has a significant amount of give, which leaves it bouncing up and down as you drive, and that's before accounting for the additional slack between the inner-carrier and flimsy shell carrier. The seat cushion is not good. The material feels cheap and lacks newborn support. The only positive of this seat is that it has aremovable carrier, but that's not enough to make up for the lack of safety and security your child deserves.

The snack tray has cup holders in it to hold drinks and snacks. Machine-washable fabrics are easy to clean. The snack tray has cup holders in it to hold drinks and snacks.
👤My third baby is 8 months old and I bought this for the 8th time. I'm a bit of a carseat snob. I am a freak about following rules for installing and caring for children. I have it installed and I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it or use it with my baby. Excellent recline positions, especially for bucketed seats, are provided by the plush cover and padding. This seat is good for 3 across installation, but feels a little plastic-y, flimsy on the top half of the seat. It can be done back and forth. The head support is very wiggly and there is no re-thread harness adjustment. It feels like the styrofoam would break instantly if your toddler leaned on it or yanked it hard. There isn't much room for growth with the harness straps. The overall impression leaves me underwhelmed. I purchased a wagon from Evenflo in May and it was amazing. The quality is amazing, it is a shame that this carseat didn't translate to it.
👤The carseat was filthy and the side plastic was scratched when it arrived. I got a Graco model for my older son, but the headrest is very flimsy. I ordered a replacement for my carseat, but it was filthy and didn't have a plastic covering. I got a new 4ever DLX after returning both carseats. I don't recommend this carseat for its lack of features. Take my word for it!
👤As a new mom of a 5 month old, I was happy to see that I could get a car seat for a good price. The car seat looks better in person. It is so sleek and comfortable. The instructions manual, snack tray, cups and plastic pieces were in the car seat when I took it out of the box. The padding is placed on the seat so it is easy to clean. The cup holders have liners that can be washed. I love the double cup holders. I usually have the fiancé install the car seats, but I took a stab at it myself. It wasn't easy for me, but with help from him, I was able to install tight and correct. He said that the installation wasn't bad and that the manual was definitely needed. After putting him in the car seat, he took a nap in it and we were very happy with it. The straps were easy to adjust to, but the bottom buckles were a bit harder to clasp. Since our son is still a baby, we use this car seat in our second vehicle, and it's easier to use a bucket car seat in and out of the house. We are excited to use the 4 in 1 car seat and watch him grow for many years. I am happy to know my son will be safe in this car seat in case of an accident. My child is in a car seat. The sensor safe clip that we have in our infant car seat is not included in this car seat. I will be sad to not have that feature in the future. It would have been a great addition to the car seat. This is a great price for a car seat and I recommend it.
