👤We have had a few different car seats, but this one is our favorite. The frame is strong and reinforced for me. My husband and I are both paramedics and have seen many car seats in accidents, and this one stood out to me as one of the safest, and it held up well in some of the more serious crashes. My kids preferred this seat over the others because it has the most cushion. The zip feature makes it easier to clean the fabric. I have had this seat for two kids and it is still in perfect condition. It feels safe, that's a plus. The sides are protected from every angle. It is a bit bulky but we didn't mind since it felt more safe than others. The push button system is a great feature. This is something I want on any seat I purchase because of the system that has ruined me. The clips and straps are no longer used. This seat is well worth the cost.

👤The NextFit ix's we replaced were in use when our vehicle was rear-ended. Both Kiddos were secured correctly and were not injured. Our oldest is close to the rear-facing weight limit on the original NextFit. The NextFit Zip Max can rear face up to 50 lbs. The Max is a bit bigger in feel and depth than the other side. Both of these are expected. When rear-facing the seats, we had to move our front seats up a bit to fit the larger size. The strap that you pull to tighten the harness is something that I have mixed feelings about. I like that it was moved inwards on the seat. The strap is being pulled underneath the cover when the harness is loosened. I wish there was a better stop mechanism in place so I wouldn't have to fish this out from under the cover.

👤When my son outgrew his Britax infant seat, I decided to go with the Graco Extend2fit because of its great reviews and moderate price. My son would scream the entire time he was strapped in. I couldn't get a good fit for my son or the seat itself. I tried the Britax Boulevard ClickTight. I have always used Britax car seats with my children, and I had high hopes for this one. The second row bucket seats in my car are huge. I had to return the seat because I couldn't get it to fit. I decided to give the Chicco seat a try because it gets great reviews on Consumer Reports and it doesn't make the "safest or best convertible car seat" list. I could tell that this seat was different from the other ones when my son didn't cry or fuss when I put him in it. The installation of this car seat is very simple and it really does take a quick pull of each strap, so I went to install it myself and it is rock solid. The fit of my child seat is perfect, even though I had to use a foam child seat positioner. My son loves it, it fits in my bucket seats. It seems to be one of the safest. I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Amazon and Chicco!

2. Century Drive Seat All One

Century Drive Seat All One

The car seat is 3-in-1. The rear-facing booster has a weight of 5-40 lbs, the forward-facing booster has a weight of 22-65 lbs, and the forward-facing booster has a weight of 40-100 lbs. The Happy Planet collection. Their Do More promise is to recycle, reuse, and give back. Space-saving design. It is a back seat space saver. No hustling. No-rethread harness system; one-hand, 6-position headrest and harness adjust together. There are 6 positions for the right install. Designed and tested to help provide safe and secure protection so you can focus on the road ahead. Side-IMPACT PROTECTION. The built-in 5-point harness system was tested for occupant retention. 👤I bought this seat on Prime day sale a few months ago. When my toddler went with his grandparents, I bought a second car seat for him. We loved it so much that it became his primary seat. The low profile fits perfectly in our car and we always found ourselves getting my son into it. The seat is so flexible that we love it. It is much more comfortable than our other seat, and my son can easily fall asleep in it. The cup holders are garbage. My kid can remove them with ease. If you absolutely need snack holders, it's something to consider, since we solved this by removing them completely and flipping down the car's center seat cup holder. This was the perfect purchase.

👤My husband and I tried to install this in 2 different cars, first the seat belt and then the anchors, because our friend who is an obsessive car seat researcher suggested this to us. We were never able to get it installed in a secure location. We tried the rolled towel that is recommended in the instructions, but there was no dice. We're supposed to base the car seat's security on a towel. You're going to see the video I posted and say, "she just doesn't have the anchor straps tight." The straps were tight and it didn't make a difference. It's like... The angles are off. The cup holders have to be installed according to the manual. Which is fine, they were, but what if our kid pulls one out and throws it out the window on the freeway? Is it necessary to throw the car seat away? The instructions book and online installation videos are very basic, and I found some flaws in the video, such as the anchor strap being slack, but you can clearly see that the woman is trying to move the car seat back and forth. Fishy! If you want to try this for the price, but be honest about whether it is too loose, you should return it.

👤We've never had a better carseat. Function and beauty in one. The one-handed head rest adjustment is the best feature, it allows the shoulder straps to go up and down with no rethreading. Easy removal of the newborn piece. Instructions are on both sides of the seat, which makes it easy to place a height stand. My baby is 1.5 years old and 25 lbs., so there is plenty of time and space to grow into the seat.

👤The seat is flimsy and there is little room for sitting.

👤When I say I like this car seat, I could go into detail. I will keep it short. The seat is worth something. You get a lot for what you pay. Not everything is top tier comfort and quality. This is not a premium seat. It passes all of the safety requirements. It was easy to use. If you are a first time parent, I highly recommend you look for certified car seat educators in your area to make sure you are using the right seat for your child.

3. Graco Atlas Harness Booster Glacier

Graco Atlas Harness Booster Glacier

Two seats are in a booster seat. The booster seat converts from a forward-facing harness to a highback belt-positioning seat. The Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows the head and harness to adjust in one motion. In belt-positioning booster mode, the integrated harness storage compartment stores unused harness straps. Your child's headrest grows with you. There are two recline positions and 10 head rest positions in a car seat. Keep your child's drink close with integrated, dual cup holders. The belt guides help position the seat belt.

👤One of the most important products for toddlers is a car seat. Consumer Reports recently finished testing on toddler-boosters and said parts of five popular toddler-booster car seats broke. What they found and what parents can do about it are included in this. Toddler-booster seats are forward facing and can be used initially with a five point harness and then they can be used as a booster with the car's own seat belts. All seats must meet federal safety crash test requirements in order to be sold, but Consumer Reports' crash evaluations are more rigorous. The Britax Frontier ClickTight, Britax Pioneer, Cosco Finale, Graco Atlas 65, and the Harmony Defender 360 booster seats were found to break when tested with dummies whose weight is close to the seat's limits. "If the harness or top tether breaks, it can compromise the seats' ability to protect the child in a subsequent crash event," said Consumer Reports. It may allow the child to move further forward, if the harness disengages completely, the seat is no longer restraining the child. There were no injuries related to the structural failures revealed in Consumer Reports crash tests. What should you do if you own one of these seats? CR says that you should not stop using the seat if you don't have a replacement. A basic margin of safety is provided by any car seat, and it is better than no seat at all. If your child is less than 40 pounds, you can use this seat with the five-point harness. If your child weighs more than 40 pounds, you should use the seats in booster mode. CR says you should replace your car seat if it's too small for it to fit the booster and vehicle seat belts correctly. Britax, Cosco, Graco, and Harmony all stated that their seats meet federal standards and that CR's testing differed from the government's. Consumer Reports says that the best way to replace a child's car seat is with a new one.

👤The part that protects his brain broke and fell off. When I went to clean the pads, I found out. Take the pads off if you have one. I have four of these. I want to replace them all.

👤Absolutely love it! I don't need a car seat anymore. I think it's the total package. My car looks great again, and I'm confident that my son is safe. The last car seat was green and covered in stains within a month. There are a few features that I like. There will never be a stain that I can't remove. My son falls asleep in the car a lot, so no more bobbing head. My son's head is kept straight while he sleeps. My son can't escape the easy buckle. TheRemovable cover is easy to keep clean. There are more features, but the ones listed were most important to me.

👤I ordered two car seats at the same time and they both arrived a year ago. They only have 6 years left. If you are buying a new product, it should be within a month or two of the manufacture date. If you have a smaller SUV that allows for reclining back seats, you can recline the seats in my ford f350. The recline option makes it easier for the kids to sleep. The shoulder heigh adjustment is very easy to do. It's a big plus that cheaper options make you rethread. The seat is light and made of plastic which the higher end GRACO's have a steel core. The push to click seat belt style found on higher end car seats is not the same as the simple metal clasps under the seat. The materials are plastic and the fabric is not the most durable, but I'm very happy with my purchase, it was a year old when we received them. If life span is important to you, you might want to check with the vendor before ordering. Thanks!

4. Safe Traffic System Safer Travel

Safe Traffic System Safer Travel

The innovative design elements of RideSafer reduce head and knee excursion, protect organs, and relocate the shoulder belt away from the child's neck. The first way to use RideSafer is with a vehicle lap belt and top tether, the second way is to use with a top tether anchor in the vehicle. Without a tether belt is the other way. RideSafer can be used with a lap and shoulder belt. RideSafer is certified for use in motor vehicles and tested with a lap-only belt and tether to meet performance standards. The weight range for RideSafer is between 30 lbs and 3 years old. And 120 lbs. RideSafer can be used with the Delighter Booster. RideSafer can be used with the Delighter Booster.

Brand: Ridesafer

👤I have a 6 yo boy with a learning disability who had a shoulder belt in a booster seat. When I saw this vest on the group for car seats that is run by professionals and car seat tech, I knew it was a safe option. I use the tether for everyday use because it keeps him from moving around. I feel it is much safer than the booster seat for the time being, even though he tries to move out.

👤It has been great to travel internationally when we have short cab rides. It is better to sit on our laps and in taxis than it is to have a malfunctioning car seat. I wish there was a way to adjust the height of the vest/straps more, and less of a gap at the shoulders. My son is within the height and weight range and I know it is safe as long as the belt passes where it should, I have watched the videos and read the FAQ. It is nerve wracking to get it and keep it in the right place.

👤I bought this for my son. We knew we would need to use the ride-sharing service once or twice during our trip for his 6th birthday. He is 46” tall and 41 lbs. The small was ordered by us. It is well suited for room to grow. We still use a Britax at home. The travel vest was easy to use. He was put in the backseat center and he was very secure. He was very comfortable on the long car ride from DC to Baltimore. We went to the aquarium, walked around all day, and rode the train back to DC, and it was easy to keep my purse in my purse. It was never too cumbersome. This will be my go-to when we travel in the city.

👤It's a great way to travel. If you live in the city with a toddler, you should use this safety harness. It takes a few seconds to put on the harness. It takes less than a minute to put the safety belt on. Carrying bulky car seats is no longer an issue.

👤My toddler would have a car seat without checking it, if we carried it in our carry on. Even though my daughter falls in the mid range for height and weight requirements, it was too loose. I had to buy a booster. The seat belt doesn't stay in the holders. I wouldn't use this product if it weren't for the extra precautions for older kids. Returning.

👤It is a lifesaver for public transit, a car too small for three seats across, and other things. It is easy to use once you have watched the video and seen my four year old wearing it.

👤Mi hijo viaje en su ruta escolar de manera segura y cabe en una tila pequea. Gran compra.

👤It's a good idea to have this with you if you have to use a taxi or ride-sharing service.

5. Cybex Sirona Convertible SensorSafe Premium

Cybex Sirona Convertible SensorSafe Premium

The Sirona S is the first car seat in the U.S. to feature a 180 degree recline, which makes it easy to switch between rear and forward facing positions. The EasyLock Bar can be used for simple and secure car seat installation. Their load leg can reduce rotation in crashes by up to 30%, and their dual-level indicators ensure that your car seat is at the correct recline angle. If a child unbuckles themselves, if the back seat has become too warm or cold, if a child has been seated for too long, or if the driver accidentally leaves the child behind, SensorSafe provides an app alert. The anti-rebound design reduces car seat rebound movement in the event of a crash. Make sure your car seat is a perfect fit with the different positions of the headrest. It is easier to adjust the height of the shoulder straps as your child grows with the Sirona S harness. Make sure your car seat is a perfect fit with the different positions of the headrest. Brand: Cybex

👤The install is easy, and the potential for this car seat to win over the rest is high. For ingenuity, it was a 9 but for execution, it was a 7. I have a tesla model 3 and the base seems to fit securely, but the seat when locked into the base wobbles a lot. It could be ok, but that much movement when driving will just loosen the straps over time and not give me confidence. The seat is heavy and soft and easy to install. The isofix / latch system is easy to attach, but it is possible to catch a loop and pop it loose without knowing. Push release clips were much safer and had less chance of accidental release when I used the Uppababy Vesa base. The seat should be slid up to its forwardmost position to allow access to the belt tension system. It was very easy to attach and tighten. The part that doesn't move as expected is shown in the video. It was a bit of a pain to pull the leg out and extend it. Too long. The baby seat is being lifted off the car seat. It doesn't provide the safety it should. The seat looks comfortable. The shoulder straps can be attached to the side of the baby seat to make it easier to get the baby in and out of the seat. I haven't used or tested the sensor yet due to the instability issues. The leg is set correctly and the back is tight, but there is a lot of movement in the seat. It is too big inside its base. I am not sure if this is a faulty unit or not, but it is not what I expected. Even though the base was only attached by the isofix and didn't have a leg, the unit was fixed very securely. My son is too tall for the uppa baby car seat, and there is a disappointing number of rotating car seats in the US compared to the UK. Cybex does not have a phone number. If they provide any more info on this, I'll update the review. There is an update. The amount of movement in this video is normal according to Cybex. This may be reassuring to some people, but I worry that this amount of play in the seat will cause things to loosen over time.

👤Don't buy it! It doesn't work, but it is a great concept. The irresponsible certified professional told me that the car seat works by wiggling. It took me 8 months to realize that I should get a second opinion. My husband thought it was ok, but my heart was telling me it was not. wiggle is fine but not more than 1” according to another certified professional. That was not the case. She couldn't install this car seat. She installed the second one perfectly. I contacted the seller and they left me with a dead weight. They don't care if it's prime or not, it's about the policies of the seller. We don't care about your baby's life being risked since we sold you a faulty item, so we want you to talk to the manufacturer. It is upsetting and frustrating. I wish I could make this work, it is a great concept, but it is terrible and customer service is terrible. Completely disappointing.

6. Chicco NextFit Max Convertible Seat

Chicco NextFit Max Convertible Seat

The NextFit Max Zip Air has 25% more legroom than other NextFit car seats and a 50 lbs. weight limit, which makes it ideal for older children. With more support for the calf. The 9-position, Easy-Extend Headrest System with one-hand adjustment raises with the 5-point harness to accommodate growth in both modes and a newborn positioner provides support for infants weighing 4-11 lbs. The 3D AirMesh backrest has added features such as zip-off, machine-washable seat pad and improved comfort. DuoGuard protection with a deep rigid shell for head and body support, as well as foam and steel-reinforced frame, offer reassuring protection. It's easier to install with premium LATCH, SuperCinch Force-Multiplying Tightener, Ride Right bubbles levels and a 9-position ReclineSure leveling system. 👤Where to start? I love this! I have a matching stroller and infant car seat for my little one. When the baby girl came along, I got my big boy this car seat. He loves it! He says it is warm. It was easy to install and feels snug. No guessing if it is in line with the others. Simple and easy to install, with the right amount of luxury for my sweet girl! Great purchase! Chicco never ceases to impress!

👤The Max is not the same as the 3 brand car seats we have. The harness release button is hidden. It's hard to un the straps. Otherwise love this car seat.

👤I can't rate its features because it's a gift.

👤We bought this car seat a few months ago. It fits in the back of our car. We were in a car accident yesterday and the front air bags deployed. Our son was secured in the back seat of the car. It was almost like he didn't know there had been an accident because this car seat kept him safe. He probably wouldn't have noticed anything if it weren't for the sirens and fire trucks. We are going to buy another one of these.

👤I read through the reviews and decided to write a review. I have had a car seat for a year. I wanted something that would stay in my car all the time, so I started using it when my baby was too heavy to carry in the infant seat. I like the design of the mickey mouse. I have installed every car seat I have ever owned in the same way, so I am not sure why others had a hard time installing it. We have gone through at least 6 or 7 car seats here. The anchor clips are the same as any other brand I have seen, and I have used other safety first styles as well. If your car has locking seatbelts, you can use the seatbelt install. If you use both methods at the same time, it can put too much stress on the seat and cause it to not function properly over time. The standard 5 point harness style is used in America and Canada. Some reviews said the straps were unsafe. I believe they wanted the old style harness with no chest clip, like they still use in Australia, the UK and Asia. This seat is easy to install. The material and padding is very soft for my baby. She can raise the back up as she gets taller. My daughter is smaller than average so I plan to rear face for a long time. I am happy that I found this seat that I can use throughout that time and that I can face her when she is older.

👤It's amazing! My daughter is about to be 6 months old on the 22nd and her legs have started to hang off the edge of the carrier so we needed to buy a new "Big girl" carseat. I was looking for a grow with me. I fell in love with the bonus features of this one. The impact cushions, the 2 cup holders, and the fact that I can remove the harness and use it as a seatbelt booster seat until she weighs 100 lbs were some of the reasons I decided to purchase this specific carseat. Not to mention the fact that it's a mickey mouse. I got the order 36 hours later. It was assembled completely. I had to pull it out of the box. Don't even think about how soft the material is. My baby girl loves her new carseat. I will never have to buy another carseat for her because of the "grow with me" aspect. I am 1000% satisfied with my order and would recommend this carseat again and again.

9. Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Seat Spire

Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Seat Spire

Your child's car seat can grow from a rear-facing harness to a forward-facing harness. Made of steel reinforced. Product weight is 18.25 pounds. Your child can ride rear-facing longer with up to 50 pounds of rear facing. Do not bleach. Simply safe adjust no-rethread headrest and harness together. Your child can safely ride rear facing longer with the Extend2fit 4-position panel. Your child can safely ride rear facing longer with the Extend2fit 4-position panel.

Brand: Graco

👤This is our 8th car seat and 5th child. We have had several before this one. It's my favorite of all the car seats we've ever had, so I had to review it. It's seriously. The Diono is heavy and difficult to adjust to, the Britax is cumbersome, and the Evenflos are cheap and thin. None of them have covers that are easy to wash. The covers are easy to put back together. The metal parts you want to be safe and sturdy are latches, tether, etc. The adjusting pieces are large and easy to grasp. Oh! That is the other thing. I couldn't get my hand into any of the others in the way I needed to, not for adjusting, not for installing, and not for moving stuff around. I can get my paw through the appropriate areas. The harness adjustment feature is enough to give repeat business. I didn't say anything dirty while installing. Heeheehee

👤I couldn't ask for a better car seat when I bought it at Target. My daughter is 16 months old and still rear facing, she is very comfortable with the extended leg room. She was laughing and playing in the back seat of the car that was totaled in the accident, even though nothing happened. I just added it to my cart and will be buying it again for my new car.

👤I was frustrated with how hard it was to tighten the seatbelt. You need to have the strength of 10,000 people to tighten it. I figured it out. Pull the slack from around the child's hips once the chest clip and belt are buckled. The chest clip and shoulder strap covers should be lowered. The slack is above the chest clip. The strap needs to be tightened. It will be very easy. We shouldn't have to go through this, but once you know how to do it, it's not bad. It is easy to remove the cover, but it is not so easy to put it on. The seat cover is secured with small elastic loops. The loops need to be threaded through small holes to reach the hook. If you don't have a crochet hook, you will throw the seat away. With the crochet hook, I was able to thread the elastic loop through the small holes and over the fastening hooks with very little effort.

👤We don't plan ahead very well. We were worried when our kid was upgraded to a convertible car seat. We weren't sure if we would be able to find a small car that fit my wife's small car. We looked for a budget friendly car seat because we are already spending an arm and leg for diaper changing. We wanted something to keep him calm. We have three digit temperatures where we are located, which means we have something that could fit in a corolla and the passenger didn't have to move their seat to the point where they were kissing the dash. The fact that it grows with the child makes it a better investment than a budget friendly convertible seat. The fabric allows our son to breathe during the hot days. He gets a little sweat on his back but that is normal with all car seats. I know he doesn't mind the seat because he always passes out with each car ride. We were able to keep the front passenger and driver seat in the back of the car. I enjoy any little leg room I can get. This seat is perfect for your child.

10. Chicco NextFit Max Convertible Seat

👤My older child loves the normal nextfit. The nextfit max is less user friendly due to the design changes. The release button is hidden underneath the fabric and you have to dig around to get the right angle to release it. The pull cord has a problem with straps getting lost under the fabric. I regret buying this. I would throw this one out and get the normal one. I believe that it is just as safe and comfortable for a baby as it is for an adult. It's a bigger pain for parents to use.

👤We bought this before we left for Montana on a one-way car trip. Our baby gets very uncomfortable in cheaper car seats and sweats a lot. He was not happy about the trip, but he was very comfortable in this car seat and had no problems taking naps. Highly recommended for long-haul car trips. My husband took less than 10 minutes to install. This seat is easy to clean and has plenty of room for our son to grow.

👤It's the safest car seat in its class on consumer reports and the seat functionally represents that. Our kid is tall and his feet do not fall down. I'm very happy about that. This car seat is larger than others. The forward seat in a small SUV or sedan cannot be pushed back as much as the seat in the back. We are fine with that, but in case someone didn't anticipate it, we will point that out. The harness belt tension release can be pulled down. It takes a bit to get used to. It would be great if it came with two cup holders. It's odd that you pay this much and only 1 is provided, as other brands provide both with the top model seat.

👤A nice car seat. My son doesn't like being put in it every single time. Maybe because he can't see the other side of him. It is very sturdy and has leather on it. I like the different incline positions. I like that it can be washed. It's the best because of the highest safety checks.

👤We have two of these, one for each car. They are easy to use and clean. I would definitely recommend it.

👤It has a tight fit rear facing in the middle row of my suburban, and it has leather on the back of the front seat. It sits at the right angle and can be fixed with a small cloth. It is worth it because of the safety ratings.

👤The car seat is easy to install and has high safety ratings. It is easy to clean if your kid gets motion sick. I have 4 of these for my husband and I and our 2 kids.

👤This is the only one that is easy to install, sturdy and safe.

11. Chicco Fit4 Adapt Convertible Seat

Chicco Fit4 Adapt Convertible Seat

The best fit and the most comfort from day one to year 10 with patented 37.5 Technology and breathable mesh. The volcanic mineral particles are permanently embedded in the fabric to help cool or warm the body. The FitKit System has easy to remove layers with mesh and a 10-position Easy-Extend Headrest System. DuoGuard has 2 layers of protection with a rigid shell and foam that surrounds the head and torso throughout the stage. 👤We have an 11 month old. A drunk driver stopped our vehicle and hit it. Our baby was strapped in and didn't suffer any harm. This car seat keeps her safe.

👤My first son used a Chicco car seat and I generally love this brand. The one car seat let me down. I like the look and design of this car seat, but the straps are too tight. I thought the first one I bought was faulty, but the second one was the same. My baby's chest straps were tight and wouldn't loosen up much. He was so uncomfortable in the chair that he would cry and push around like he was ready to leave. I am very disappointed in this chair.

👤I paid $3799.99 for this item a couple of weeks ago. The current price is $303.99. Amazon doesn't seem to support price guarantees. Very disappointing.

👤We have been using this car seat for over six months. We bought this car seat because we live in a hot area. We tried other car seats but our baby sweats in this one. He has a good amount of leg room and is about average height for his age. The straps don't have enough room for him to grow, but so far it hasn't been a problem. Definitely 5 stars. It was worth it. Each of our vehicles had one bought for them.
