Graco SlimFit Convertible Seat Darcie

Your child can grow from a rear-facing harness to a highback booster in a 3-in-1 car seat. The seat is 10% slimmer because of the dual cup holders that rotates away. A combination of the most rigorous crash tests helps to protect your little one in crashes. The harness and headrest can be adjusted in one motion. The safest fit for your child is to choose the perfect height for their headrest. The recline helps for a better installation. Push-button In Right LATCH has an audible click to help ensure secure installation.

👤We were in a car accident at 60mph. A 2 year old child walked away from an accident after biting his tongue. He was thankful for the protection this seat gave him.

👤I've been wanting to get a second car seat for a long time. I went to the local stores to try out the Slim Fit after seeing the price drop. The Slim Fit and the Milestone are both on sale at Walmart for the same price. My primary car seat is a Graco 4Ever. Both the SlimFit and Milestone have the same features. My daughter and I chose Slim Fit because of the two cup holders. The seat is very comfortable. There is a good amount of cushion in the head and butt area. Ours has been in use for several years and feels more comfortable than the 4Ever. The beams are reinforced with steel like the 4Ever, but they are not as thick or wide. The SlimFit is a bit lighter because of this. The in Right latch system is a must have for the Slim Fit. The installation is easy, but the in Right belt is a bit harder to get as snug as I want. That could be because it is brand new. The harness adjusts when you raise and lower it. The seat is a bit larger than the 4Ever. I am testing out the Slim Fit in my Mazda CX-5 and I feel like there is more room for passengers than when I have the 4Ever in the same place. There are only 4 "recline" positions. I would like to see 5. The 4Ever has two recline positions just for forward facing, which is a plus. It's a little more comfortable with the added recline. The SlimFit is definitely comparable to the 4Ever. If you can purchase below retail, I would recommend it. There was a photo added for asthetic comparison.

👤Ok. All of the pictures should be forgiven. Seeing comparison pictures of new car seats helped me make my decision. We are getting a new car seat. I drive a small car, the 2015 crosstrek from the Subaru line. If I could do it all over again, I would buy a minivan that we didn't need and I wouldn't want a teenager sitting in the back for family outings. The seat is a bit slimmer on the slimfit due to the lack of armrest and cup holders. The back and headrest are the same on both seats, but the back of the slimfit is a solid panel as opposed to the extend2fit with an open back. Both of these differences are functional and mearly. The recline option is the same, the padding is the same, and the wonderful sliding headrest to adjust height is the same. The water under the bridge made it difficult for me to get the latch through the rear pass. The seat is heavy and not a good choice if you want to carry your car seat through the airport or move it on a regular basis. I don't like the fact that the infant seat insert is not included, there are a lot of cracks in the fabric and it is hard to get gummy snacks out of it. The seat is sturdy and well built, which is a bonus since I won't need another car seat for the kids down the road. It is nice. Installation was ok. 10/10 would buy again.

👤We already own a Graco 4ever and purchased a second one. We are completely satisfied with this one and it is very similar to the other one. The 4ever has a few additional features, but I don't think they are better than the MySize. The MySize style would be more comfortable with these straps. I removed the comfortable head rest cushions on the sides because they seemed to push her head forward. I think the MySize might be a bit easier, though we haven't done it yet, because they both have strap slots on the sides to hold the straps. The people say the Buckle is not long enough. It is easy to adjust the seat in your vehicle if you rethreading the buckle on the bottom side. I believe people are only adjusting the position through the fabric slots, not the plastic of the seat. If you do it correctly, the entire buckle will remain the same length if you do it correctly. It is long if done correctly. I tried this seat in the store and thought it was hard to adjust the strap length when she was sitting in it, but the new one seems to be fine. I don't know what causes that. If it becomes an issue, I'll try to update. I thought the 4ever would feel better in the safety as well. This one is just as safe. The seat does not move around in the vehicle. I've heard people say that the top of their carseat can wiggle because the base is narrow, but this is not the case. The base is wide and the seat is low. If we were buying again, we would go with the MySize because the extra money doesn't seem to give you any valuable features and I think this one will be more comfortable for her. The shoulder strap covers under the chest buckle seem to fit better and can reach the cup holder.

👤This is a good size for a small car. This fits both front and rear of my car. It does not require that the front seats be pushed up too far or too close to the dash.

👤I have a carseat for my 1 and 2 year olds, which still uses it rear facing. The only complaint I had was that the buckle pinched their legs when I fastened their belts. Someone said there is a way to adjust the seat belt under the seat. The problem of leg pinching is solved by taking the seat out and adjusting it there. I tried it and both my boys are fine. I hope other parents will see this and it will help them. I thought you had to completely remove the car seat to adjust it. I was able to move it without removing the seat.

👤When our twins were 15 months old, we got these. We needed something that would fit in our small car. It works well in a small car with no sacrificing of leg room, which is important to me since I am tall. It was long lasting. We have used this for over 4 years because our twins are almost 6. We will probably change to boosters because they are easier for school to drop off. The fabric can be washed when needed. Pulling up on the handle can easily adjust the straps heights. There are small pockets on both sides of the seat that can be used to store the buckle. Being able to put one in the seat and easily put them up without having to use the straps is a lifesaver for me. The seat is comfortable and the fabric is soft, even after a lot of cleanings. Installation is easy. Can't think of anything else that would be better than an additional cup holder. My kids have used these items the longest. You can find good seats with bells and whistles, but why bother? These have been worth it. We were very pleased with our purchase.

👤I would like to say that I absolutely love this set. I was unhappy that the seat I received had been manufactured in 2017, even though I ordered it in May of 2019. It was very upsetting to receive a seat that was already two years old and I could not use it because it was two years less than the one I bought.

👤This is safe and gets the job done. The harness that holds my child in the seat is not easy to tighten. It's very difficult. Excalibur would be easier to pull from a stone than from a strap. It's easier to be unworthy and pick up the hammer than it is to tighten the strap. It's hard to pull the strap to tighten, you will end up picking up the carseat before it tightens. You wouldn't tighten it on them if you just brought the kid around by the strap. My friend has the same problem with his car seat. When we're bored and want to challenge each other while at the playground, while watching our kids, we use this car seat strap as our muscle man challenge. The person who pulls it the most wins. We're tied at 0.0 millimeters after a year. I thought I pulled it at one point, but it was just the passing of a cloud casting a shadow on us. You might think that we are a couple of idiots. You might be right, but our wives can't do it, and we won't stand for you calling them idiots. They gave birth without pain killers and we're trying to keep them safe by tightening this strap. I told my wife to pull the strap of the car seat instead of my hand because the strap wouldn't move like my hand would. She was angry at first, but logic overcame her. To make it safe for the kid, make it an acceptable tightness, then never loosen it to get them out again. My son is made to contort his arms and hands so he can escape. I tell him about the amazing hieroglyphs and see it as a way to practice for his career as an escape artist. Buying a carseat will cause a lot of inflammation. You should get this carseat if that sounds fun. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

👤I had a hard time getting the crotch strap to move in my new car seat. I found a video that was very helpful and I wanted to share it with you. 1st. The crotch Buckle is easy to access if the padding is pulled away. 2nd. The material that is threaded through the seat should not be slackened if the buckle is held. 3rd. Push the side of the metal bracket through the slit in the seat while holding the strap taut. Push enough of the corner of the brackets to get through. There is a The material will bunch up if you push too much. I had the crotch buckle uninstall and reinstalled in 3 minutes using this method. I hope my instructions were clear enough, but if you can't find them on the internet, you can search for "Graco Nautilus car seat Buckle removal" by broncoboxer... It was wonderful! I haven't installed the seat or used it yet. If I dislike the car seat in a few months, I will change my post.

👤I am amazed by my purchase. I have gone through many car seats. They either looked uncomfortable or weren't safe enough for me. My baby and toddler will be in this car seat for a long time. They were very easy to set up and very difficult to put together. Absolutely love, highly recommend.

👤I bought this seat on Prime day sale a few months ago. When my toddler went with his grandparents, I bought a second car seat for him. We loved it so much that it became his primary seat. The low profile fits perfectly in our car and we always found ourselves getting my son into it. The seat is so flexible that we love it. It is much more comfortable than our other seat, and my son can easily fall asleep in it. The cup holders are garbage. My kid can remove them with ease. If you absolutely need snack holders, it's something to consider, since we solved this by removing them completely and flipping down the car's center seat cup holder. This was the perfect purchase.

👤My husband and I tried to install this in 2 different cars, first the seat belt and then the anchors, because our friend who is an obsessive car seat researcher suggested this to us. We were never able to get it installed in a secure location. We tried the rolled towel that is recommended in the instructions, but there was no dice. We're supposed to base the car seat's security on a towel. You're going to see the video I posted and say, "she just doesn't have the anchor straps tight." The straps were tight and it didn't make a difference. It's like... The angles are off. The cup holders have to be installed according to the manual. Which is fine, they were, but what if our kid pulls one out and throws it out the window on the freeway? Is it necessary to throw the car seat away? The instructions book and online installation videos are very basic, and I found some flaws in the video, such as the anchor strap being slack, but you can clearly see that the woman is trying to move the car seat back and forth. Fishy! If you want to try this for the price, but be honest about whether it is too loose, you should return it.

👤We've never had a better carseat. Function and beauty in one. The one-handed head rest adjustment is the best feature, it allows the shoulder straps to go up and down with no rethreading. Easy removal of the newborn piece. Instructions are on both sides of the seat, which makes it easy to place a height stand. My baby is 1.5 years old and 25 lbs., so there is plenty of time and space to grow into the seat.

👤The seat is flimsy and there is little room for sitting.

👤When I say I like this car seat, I could go into detail. I will keep it short. The seat is worth something. You get a lot for what you pay. Not everything is top tier comfort and quality. This is not a premium seat. It passes all of the safety requirements. It was easy to use. If you are a first time parent, I highly recommend you look for certified car seat educators in your area to make sure you are using the right seat for your child.

👤This is our 8th car seat and 5th child. We have had several before this one. It's my favorite of all the car seats we've ever had, so I had to review it. It's seriously. The Diono is heavy and difficult to adjust to, the Britax is cumbersome, and the Evenflos are cheap and thin. None of them have covers that are easy to wash. The covers are easy to put back together. The metal parts you want to be safe and sturdy are latches, tether, etc. The adjusting pieces are large and easy to grasp. Oh! That is the other thing. I couldn't get my hand into any of the others in the way I needed to, not for adjusting, not for installing, and not for moving stuff around. I can get my paw through the appropriate areas. The harness adjustment feature is enough to give repeat business. I didn't say anything dirty while installing. Heeheehee

👤I couldn't ask for a better car seat when I bought it at Target. My daughter is 16 months old and still rear facing, she is very comfortable with the extended leg room. She was laughing and playing in the back seat of the car that was totaled in the accident, even though nothing happened. I just added it to my cart and will be buying it again for my new car.

👤I was frustrated with how hard it was to tighten the seatbelt. You need to have the strength of 10,000 people to tighten it. I figured it out. Pull the slack from around the child's hips once the chest clip and belt are buckled. The chest clip and shoulder strap covers should be lowered. The slack is above the chest clip. The strap needs to be tightened. It will be very easy. We shouldn't have to go through this, but once you know how to do it, it's not bad. It is easy to remove the cover, but it is not so easy to put it on. The seat cover is secured with small elastic loops. The loops need to be threaded through small holes to reach the hook. If you don't have a crochet hook, you will throw the seat away. With the crochet hook, I was able to thread the elastic loop through the small holes and over the fastening hooks with very little effort.

👤We don't plan ahead very well. We were worried when our kid was upgraded to a convertible car seat. We weren't sure if we would be able to find a small car that fit my wife's small car. We looked for a budget friendly car seat because we are already spending an arm and leg for diaper changing. We wanted something to keep him calm. We have three digit temperatures where we are located, which means we have something that could fit in a corolla and the passenger didn't have to move their seat to the point where they were kissing the dash. The fact that it grows with the child makes it a better investment than a budget friendly convertible seat. The fabric allows our son to breathe during the hot days. He gets a little sweat on his back but that is normal with all car seats. I know he doesn't mind the seat because he always passes out with each car ride. We were able to keep the front passenger and driver seat in the back of the car. I enjoy any little leg room I can get. This seat is perfect for your child.

👤The boys were in booster seats when we were in the accident. I'm sure the fact we were in a solid vehicle helped the seats withstood impact, no cracks and the boys had no major injuries.

👤I was initially turned off by the fact that they don't have compatible straps to hold them in the seats. I was wrong to think they would be annoying. It's nice to be able to take them in/out easily when I want to let adults ride in those spots. My kids told me that these are more comfortable than the ones in my mom's car. The pop in/out cupholders on both sides are great, I can pop out the "inboard" side and the kids don't have to climb over them to get out.

👤I like this booster car seat, but I am not happy with the covering that is being used. I used the same booster car seat for my grandson 10 years ago. The seat cover material is starting to wear thin and will probably need to be replaced in a month or two. Very disappointed.

👤Arm rests not included in shipment, seat covering that was torn in several areas, and appeared used. Returning quickly! It was disappointing to say the least.

👤The seat is on the money. My little guy is ready for a booster and he told his family that he no longer needed the regular car seat. We needed a seat for the other car so we bought this seat for the second time. He now uses the booster and we added a seat belt adjustment for him. He feels like he's in a big guy seat. The booster seat is great. The Pack of 2 Child Seat Belt Adjuster, Car Safety Cover Adjuster Pad Harness, and Comfortable Protection for Adult Children are part of the HSELL®.

👤These are my favorite booster seats. I have found them to be worth it, even though they are a little more expensive than other brands. The brands flip when the kids get in and out. The style stays in place when the kids get out of the car. Cup holders are more than just for cups, they are also convenient. The kids drink in one side and eat in the other. The covers are easy to remove and clean. I bought these for my grandma's car since I like the ones we have. The car seats and grandma love them.

👤The booster seat is easy to use. We went from using a full car seat to a booster seat. Our niece doesn't ride with us often. It's nice to be able to move her seat between my car and my husband's. Before it was a full workout, it was just to move the car seat. I was exhausted by the time I moved the seat from my SUV to the two door car and it was no big deal for a mom who was used to doing it all the time. The booster is a game-changer. It is perfect for our niece who is six years old. It was worth the price. I'm glad I got this. If you're looking for a booster seat to transition from a large car seat, this is the one for you. It was difficult to move between vehicles because we had one of those car seats that was supposed to last and act as a booster. Have not used on a long road trip.

9. Graco SnugRide SnugLock Infant Adjustable

Graco SnugRide SnugLock Infant Adjustable

A canopy protects a baby from light. A hassle-free 3-step installation is what SnugLock Technology is about. The infant car seat protects rear-facing infants from 4 to 35 lbs. 👤We bought this car seat because our 6th baby is due in 6 weeks. I haven't used it with a baby yet, but here are my initial impressions. After the baby arrives, I will post. I have always preferred the Graco car seats. The first baby we had had an Evenflo and it was terrible. I bought him a Graco. They didn't give it back when they let a friend borrow it. I bought another one for baby #2. I loved it! After we were done, we gave it to a girl in need. Baby #3 bought another toy. We gave away one of the 3 babies we had. Five years later, bought another one for our baby number four and number five. The previous seat was expired and we bought another one for baby #6. The pros are 1. The seat is easy to use. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. 2. When you add a baby, it will be a bit more light. We left the infant seat in the car by about 6 months of age because it was too much for me to carry with the baby. 3. There is a canopy. I picked this one because it seems to have a bigger canopy than the other models. It doesn't mean they used to. Coming all the way down in front of the baby. 4. The shoulder straps are at the bottom. This is awesome and I have had it with all my cars. If your baby has to wear a sweater, heavy coat, or nothing at all, it makes it easy to adjust the belts. A piece of cake! 5. The price is correct. I was not going to pay $300 for a 6th and final car seat. I got this for a low price. They had a cons. The fabric is wet. It might be easier to clean from accidents. I fear that whatever they are using will make my child hot. In the summer, it is going to be brutal in this seat. They used to make cotton seats, but they can't anymore. 2. The baby insert. I am thankful for one, but it is very stiff. I'm hoping it will be washed and dried to make it softer. 3. Not really any support. I will use my own. I might use my older snuzzler instead of the infant support. My last baby liked it. Some people commented that you can't lock the new Graco car seats onto shopping carts. You were never told to do it. It is a safety thing. Put the car seat in the basket and make your significant other pick up the big things, like paper towels and toilet paper.

👤I would like to return this. It isn't much better than the regular cheaper model except for the base, canopy and insert. The insert is terrible. I couldn't figure out why it looked like my baby was too snug, no matter what I did. I ended up looking behind me. The seat belt was higher than the insert, so I tried to pull the insert up, but the buckle came out of it. It is unsafe to have it in there. The manual doesn't say it's okay to remove the insert. Everyone should get a different car seat.

10. Graco TurboBooster Highback Booster Glacier

Graco TurboBooster Highback Booster Glacier

It helps to safely transport a big kid from 4 to 10 years old. The minimum weight has been increased from 30 to 40 lbs. 👤I just bought a second pair of these carseats. I bought some after someone backed into my car with my old ones. I purchased these for my daughter and son because of the research I did. They hit a COW on the interstate and spun off into a power pole while visiting my in laws in LA. My son hit his arm on the car door, but he and my daughter are both fine. The police, emts and fire fighters all said that my father was uninjured in the situation and these carseats. The officers/fire fighters inspected them before my sister in law picked them up and said they seemed to be undamaged, although they recommended replacing them. You couldn't pay me to put my kids in different booster seats.

👤After reading reviews, I didn't want to buy it. I'm happy that I didn't get persuaded. I realized that some people are not perfect. Reviewers can be wrong. I was impressed with the quality, which is not high end. It's good for the money. It was easy to assemble. Didn't need the instructions at all. My 3yr old was excited when I unboxed it. I have never seen her excited for a carseat. I helped her carry it half way to the car. It was perfect in the backseat. It doesn't have a hook, but it's pretty secure without one. It looked like it came with the car. The interior was matched perfectly. I bought it from the Amazon warehouse. Yep, kid you not. It was mint. It's a brand new thing. I was skeptical at first, but I took a chance and am happy that I did. I would like to thank the guys for reading my review. Be safe.

👤This is a great product. My daughter is now five years old and we purchased it when she was four. She is short and only weighs 36 lbs. There is no way to anchor it, that's the one thing I don't like about it. The seat belt is simply run across. There is no shoulder strap in the back of my dad's Crown Vic. It's easy to put it in any car I want because you can grab it and go. The cup holders are not good for water bottles. They fall out when turning. It's hard to get the seat belt on because we have to put it on the edge of the seat, but that could be our car. A great product is made by Graco.

👤This is a great boost. I have had it for 2.5 years and it is still strong. The weight limit on the LATCH anchor and the booster seat's connections to the LATCH are important things to remember when using five point harness boosters. A five point harness is not as safe as a seat that has strong connections is, because the weakest link in the chain is the seat. The heavier the kid, the stronger the forces will be, which will cause the anchor and anchor connectors to be damaged. It is easy to be fooled by false advertising because it requires some engineering knowledge and common sense. I own a popular five-point booster for my small child. It was advertised as a five-point harness booster for kids up to 100 pounds. I was horrified to discover that it was only rated to be 48 pounds for use with LATCH. I thought my five year old was safer in his sister's seat than he was in his booster, but I was wrong. He might have stayed securely attached to the seat in a crash if he had not been over the weight limit. The seat is not enough to protect your child. The seat needs to be attached to the car. You know your kids. If they are cautious in the car and aware of safety, and don't unbuckle themselves or fiddle with the belts, or otherwise do anything to mess with the belt positioning, this is a great seat for kids within the age, height and weight limits. It is sturdy and doesn't show wear. The covers are dirty. The cupholders are easy to clean. Even after your child grows too tall for the back, it will last and last. The backless booster is done. They are more or less held against the car by a correctly positioned seatbelt in a crash. If you have a child who won't stay in their seat, or unbuckles the seatbelt, then please attach a seat with a five point harness to the car using the seatbelt and not the LATCH.

👤The baby rode in the car with no problems, because we were using an old car seat. She would cry after about 10 minutes and wouldn't stop. Her back and head were drenched with sweat when we got her out of the seat. She would scream until she was out of the seat, because we had the A/C blowing directly on her. Her arms and legs were cold and her back and head were hot. She would get overheated even in a comfortable temperature. There are warnings on the back of the seat that are not removed. She has had no issues with overheating since we switched back to the old seat. They never responded to my email, which was terrible. I am returning the seat because of the wonderful customer service I received from Amazon.

👤We have been using this car seat for about a month now and we have to forcefully push the seat into the vase for it to click. When we take the car seat out of the car, it won't open from the base. It gets stuck and won't release unless you forcefully wiggle it, which seems like it could compromise the integrity of the locking mechanism. I wish I could return it but it is not an option since it is being used.
