👤There are a lot of issues with this car seat. It is not a safe seat and it looks cute. My daughter's chest harness does not stay in place on almost every ride. I can re-adjust it and put it around my daughters' armpits, but it will always slide down. This is not safe. My first car seat purchase is extremely unhappy and I will not purchase their products in the future. My daughter's head hangs down completely if she falls asleep in her chair, and this is a hazard. I wish I had saved my money and time on this one. I don't have a safe car seat for my toddler and I'm out $170.

👤The seat pad was moving very fast. It slid to the point where it exposed the hard plastic and hurt my child's back. Very upset with it.

👤The baby's head is hanging down.

👤I was overwhelmed by the number of car seats. I didn't know what to do. Each one had good and bad reviews. I am so excited to put my little one in this seat for the first time, I installed this today. I used seatbelt installation while rear-facing. It feels strong. This is my first Grace and I am very impressed. It is easy to loosen the harness straps when the headrest is adjusted up and down. It comes with two cup holders and lots of padding. I would recommend it to a friend.

👤Baby on the way, still didn't use it. It can lie down all the way back. I don't need to buy a new carseat. This can last a long time. Love it. It came with everything that isn't installed yet. Like the cupholders. It came with a manual that was a plus for the first time mom. I will let you know if it was a pain or not when I install it. I love it!

👤Soy padre por primer, puedo decir, andere, andere Ami hija se ve una instruement. Amigos, lo recomiendo.

👤So far, so good, I bought a month ago. The baby did great on the trip. It must be comfortable. I needed to use my elbow to pull the straps tight because they were so easy to adjust. The 2 cup holders are really nice. I couldn't figure out how to install the book and stickers. I took a video to install on my computer.

👤I bought this for my son. It doesn't have seat toddles to anchor the seat. The seat belt doesn't reach the other side if it's on the other side. It's not safe to see the dose. We have a new car that is safe, but I don't like the seat.

👤I worked as a child passenger safety technician. I have installed many seats and have training on how to use them. I feel very confident in my ability to review this seat because I am a mom. The pros are 1. It is easy to install in multiple vehicles. I installed it in three and had no issues getting a snug fit or a bad recline. I used the seatbelt and LATCH. There was no leaning even with a locked lap belt, as can be seen with some seats. 2. The base and seat are very light. This makes it easy to maneuver the seat. 3. The seat is very strong. I didn't have to twist or slide it to get it to lock in. It was also easily disengaged. 4. It's a nice size and can weigh 35 lbs. Most babies will be able to use this seat for a long time. 5. It is compatible with strollers. 6. The harness feels secure. It adjusts easily. The cons are 1. There is no padding in this seat. The cover has a small amount, but the baby is sitting on hard plastic. 2. The stitching on the harness material is terrible. It pokes into the baby's legs. 3. The infant insert is useless. The head support piece is not good. It is a big safety issue that people will add after market inserts to the seat. 4. The seat cover is cheap and itchy. The cover is held on small pieces of plastic. I gave the seat four stars. It fits a baby well. It is never safe to install a seat that won't install well. The simple install of this seat would make it very safe and a parent would be more likely to install it correctly. Read the directions. If you think you know what you're doing, do this. My other complaints are related to comfort and appearance. This is not a high end seat, but it will do the job.

👤The seat is great. We upgraded our car seats after someone rear ended our vehicle. I read many reviews for different seats and chose this one. I was so impressed by the lever that makes it easy to install the base firmly in the car. The infant insert is very small. I swapped it out for a convertible seat because I didn't feel like it gave my little one enough support. It is difficult for my hand to squeeze the lever to open the seat. Sometimes the head end will release but the feet end will still be caught. I am 5'3" and am trying to get the seat from the base of the SUV to the back seat. It takes all my strength and I can barely open the door. It might not be an issue if our vehicle was lower to the ground. Someone who doesn't want to shake their baby around while trying to get the seat unlatched from the base is in danger. I am very happy with the quality of the seat.

3. Britax One4Life ClickTight All One

Britax One4Life ClickTight All One

Cool N Dry fabric improves air flow for a cooler ride and helps keep your child dry. A patented V-shaped tether helps absorb crash energy. A patented V-shaped tether helps absorb crash energy.

Brand: Britax

👤The car seat came out just in time, I have been looking for it. I wanted an extended rear facing car seat that was up to 50 pounds, as I have read that rear facing is best for little ones. I wanted the seat to be convertible to a front facing and booster seat so I wouldn't have to use multiple car seats over the years. There is a I wanted it to be safe. I narrowed it down to the nextfit max, graco extend2fit, and this car seat because they all have the booster option. The graco extend2fit would have been my choice if the seat hadn't come out. This car seat is the winner over the graco. There is a The installation is easy. I don't have to worry about messing with the latch, and I only have to close the click tight panel under the seat once I put the seatbelt across. My mom sat in it and was impressed by how comfortable it was. I was worried that it wouldn't fit in my car because of the extended rear facing seat. I was expecting a front seat passenger but there is still room for a passenger in the front seat. If it's in your budget, stop searching and get this car seat today. The safety of my child is worth it even though it is on the pricier side. It is worth the investment when I consider that the seat will last 10 years, and that I spend more time eating out than I did on the seat, it puts things in perspective. If it was helpful, please give this review a thumbs up.

👤I have removed a star for lack of comfort. Without a pull-up on but with the Britax Seat saver in use, my son started complaining about his bottom hurting and the seat being too hard about 25 minutes into the ride. I put my hand on the seat cushion and felt a bar under the seat cushion. The cushion isn't padded enough. That is not comfortable! This is very upsetting for a seat like this. The manual storage location is stupid. It is under the seat cushion behind the child's back, making it more difficult for the child to sit on. It would get torn up from all the moving around of the child. I don't like storing it in my glovebox. It should be with the seat. The only RF seat that has a shell tall enough for my son, who is only in the 75th percentile for height, is this one. I liked the harness straps, but now they seem to be falling apart. I'm going to keep an eye on this. There is a lot on this seat that needs to be improved. I'm very disappointed that there is no anti-rebound bar for this seat. The seat was shown with the anti-rebound bar, which was supposed to be used for a leg rest. The anti-rebound bar was not mentioned when the seat was released. An ARB might be available at some point, according to the company. Not good enough. Britax states the importance of the ARB and then releases a seat that doesn't have one. The seat cover doesn't fit the headrest. I've talked to someone else who has this seat and it's the same as mine. There is a lot of foam around the top of the seat. I don't like it. All. . It seems like it's too easy for the foam to be damaged. The headrest is moving a lot. This seems odd to me. It doesn't fit in the seat shell. I hear it rattle when my son moves his head. It seems like it should be better for the price. This seat is quite wide. I measured at the cupholders. Since we don't have any other passengers in the back seat, it does fit in my small car. The cupholders are easy to remove. It would be dangerous for the driver to have cupholders launched around the vehicle if they pulled them out and thrown them around by a young child. The seat requires the child's head to be below the shell, which is confusing. I don't like ambiguous rules for car seats, though I know a lot of them have this rule. I'm going to talk to a tech about how to measure that. My son is 42" tall and is 4 years old, so he seems to fit well in it. We finally found a seat that he can use to max out rear-facing in height or weight, because he has such a long torso. We already had a seat he could forward face in, so hopefully the rule won't affect that. I've only allowed my son to sit in the seat with a pull-up on so far, and I'm concerned the crotchbuckle is too short, which could cause him to break his crotch. I will find out if the Britax Seat Saver will be comfortable for him without a pull-up. The seat was easy to install. This is the only seat I've tried that is easy to install. It installed more evenly than any of the others I've tried. I like that the seat cover is machine washable, but I haven't tried removing it yet. It's machine dryable, which is great, but I will probably try not to dry it to help with longevity. The seat is quite tall. I have to have it on the second-to-last recline in order to be able to see out my window. The comfort of the seat, ease of installation, and height of the shell are the big winners here. The straps are easy to tighten and I like them. I leave the straps and unbuckle to get my son in and out so I don't have to tighten it all the time. The anti-rebound was supposed to be available. The ARB is more important with bigger kids since they have more force. There are some things that need improvement on this seat, but there are also some great things about it. I don't think we will keep this seat. The Nuna Exec comes with an anti-rebound bar and is easy to install, so we might end up with it.

👤One of the most important products for toddlers is a car seat. Consumer Reports recently finished testing on toddler-boosters and said parts of five popular toddler-booster car seats broke. What they found and what parents can do about it are included in this. Toddler-booster seats are forward facing and can be used initially with a five point harness and then they can be used as a booster with the car's own seat belts. All seats must meet federal safety crash test requirements in order to be sold, but Consumer Reports' crash evaluations are more rigorous. The Britax Frontier ClickTight, Britax Pioneer, Cosco Finale, Graco Atlas 65, and the Harmony Defender 360 booster seats were found to break when tested with dummies whose weight is close to the seat's limits. "If the harness or top tether breaks, it can compromise the seats' ability to protect the child in a subsequent crash event," said Consumer Reports. It may allow the child to move further forward, if the harness disengages completely, the seat is no longer restraining the child. There were no injuries related to the structural failures revealed in Consumer Reports crash tests. What should you do if you own one of these seats? CR says that you should not stop using the seat if you don't have a replacement. A basic margin of safety is provided by any car seat, and it is better than no seat at all. If your child is less than 40 pounds, you can use this seat with the five-point harness. If your child weighs more than 40 pounds, you should use the seats in booster mode. CR says you should replace your car seat if it's too small for it to fit the booster and vehicle seat belts correctly. Britax, Cosco, Graco, and Harmony all stated that their seats meet federal standards and that CR's testing differed from the government's. Consumer Reports says that the best way to replace a child's car seat is with a new one.

👤The part that protects his brain broke and fell off. When I went to clean the pads, I found out. Take the pads off if you have one. I have four of these. I want to replace them all.

👤Absolutely love it! I don't need a car seat anymore. I think it's the total package. My car looks great again, and I'm confident that my son is safe. The last car seat was green and covered in stains within a month. There are a few features that I like. There will never be a stain that I can't remove. My son falls asleep in the car a lot, so no more bobbing head. My son's head is kept straight while he sleeps. My son can't escape the easy buckle. TheRemovable cover is easy to keep clean. There are more features, but the ones listed were most important to me.

👤I ordered two car seats at the same time and they both arrived a year ago. They only have 6 years left. If you are buying a new product, it should be within a month or two of the manufacture date. If you have a smaller SUV that allows for reclining back seats, you can recline the seats in my ford f350. The recline option makes it easier for the kids to sleep. The shoulder heigh adjustment is very easy to do. It's a big plus that cheaper options make you rethread. The seat is light and made of plastic which the higher end GRACO's have a steel core. The push to click seat belt style found on higher end car seats is not the same as the simple metal clasps under the seat. The materials are plastic and the fabric is not the most durable, but I'm very happy with my purchase, it was a year old when we received them. If life span is important to you, you might want to check with the vendor before ordering. Thanks!

Installation in the rear facing position using LATCH and an easy to read level indicator was painless.

👤Our compact sedan is too big for our Graco Extend2Fit, so we bought this as a second car seat. The admiral fits well in our cars. The strap adjustment is easier with this one. Very pleased with our purchase.

👤It's very difficult to loosen the straps on this car seat because you have to do it every time. You used to lightly tug on the straps when lifting a flap in an older version. In this model, you have to reach your fingers deep inside a small hole and then press down on a lever while tugging on the straps. It is difficult to do this when the car seat is in the rear facing position. I don't think anyone with short fingers or large fingers can do this.

👤The car seat was purchased to replace the first one. When choosing a car seat, the only things that mattered to us were that it was small, easy to use, and looked sleek, and that it was able to sit next to an infant car seat. Safety mattered too. We were having trouble fitting an infant car seat next to a convertible car seat for our small car. It worked with this seat. My daughter loves it. As our child grows, it is easy for parents to adjust. It was more difficult to install than our Safety 1st. We don't move the seat so this didn't matter to us. We would definitely purchase the same one again.

👤I bought this for our second car and was not impressed. Roll up the towels to put under it in order to recline. That doesn't seem safe and isn't worth the money savings.

👤The car seat is great so far. It was easy to install and my son was comfortable. It has a good amount of padding, unlike some of the other carseats. My 13 month old can easily reach his sippy cup and put it back, the cupholder is at a great angle. I was afraid it would be too large to fit in my small car, but it fits behind the passenger seat.

👤I bought this car seat for my dad because he helps transport my son. My son loves it and is comfortable in it. It has a lot of room and is cute. My son is a year old and weighs 30 pounds. There is room for him even with his coat.

👤The seat is attractive. Minimum efforts are put into it. The foam is very thin and you can feel it through the plastic. The plastic seat is not hard like our other one. I can bend, push and pull it. There are two bars. The other seats have stronger bars. I picture a large vehicle hitting my baby girl side of the car and this seat doesn't feel safe to me. We are buying the Britax One4Life. My heart is against this seat. My bank was happy. I don't think this would protect my girl in my car. It would be better for an SUV, van, truck. Make sure you check the plastic before you use it for your child. It is a great seat because it has a circular cup holder and some have square cup holders. That is nice. The seat cover makes it easy for our daughter to get sick in the car. I will buy a steam cleaner for her. The only thing that is a downside is that it doesn't have a cover at all. The cost with accessories is $500. This seat is budget friendly and much safer than other car seats you can find. The seat is not safe for us.

6. Safety 1st Jive Convertible Carbon

Safety 1st Jive Convertible Carbon

An extra comfortable ride that lasts for years: Rear-facing 5-40 pounds and forward-facing 22-65 pounds. Side impact protection. It's in the back seat of most vehicles. The cup holders are dishwasher safe. Easy up-front adjustment with the 5-point harness. Easy up-front adjustment with the 5-point harness.

Brand: Safety 1st

👤I will try my best to explain this, but here is my review of the Safety 1st. The car seat is convertible. I bought this car seat to put in my mom's truck as a rear facing car seat. I put it in my car to make sure it was ready to go before we left. When I put it in my car, I noticed there was a slight issue, but I figured it was because I did it quickly. I put it in my mom's truck for the trip. We started our journey after we thought all was good. The level line was no longer level to the ground after we stopped to get gas. I reinstalled the seat after figuring I did it wrong again. The seat was leaning backwards when the car was stopped for gas. I adjusted it again and went about our way. I told my mom that the seat wasn't securing the right way when we got to our destination. I pulled the book out and made sure I did everything correctly. I had. We went about our trip. The kids seats were moved from my mom's truck to my sisters truck. I couldn't get it to sit properly rear faced. I put her in it rear facing because it was secure and felt safer than turning her front facing. I felt better if she sat front facing then back because there was something off with the seat. We left and went back to California and it wouldn't secure in my mom's truck. I put a blanket under the one I rolled up hoping it would help. And it did not... She got sick and vomited when we put her front facing again. I flipped her around and drove home. I wrote to the company about my concerns and didn't hear back. It was not sitting well with me. They pulled my email up after I called them. FaceTiming me to make sure I was installing the seat correctly. Which I was. They called another employee to watch me install the seat. I showed them how she would end up laying on her back in the car if it pushes backwards. They told me that the seat isn't compatible with my car. I told them that I have installed this seat in three different vehicles and that it works in all of them. They said that it wasn't compatible with them. I tried to find a compatible car seat list on their website. There are reviews on the website stating the same thing I am having. They issued me a refund and had me destroy the seat to see if they are having the same issue. I don't know how I feel about that. I hope this post convinces people to purchase this and save a baby's life. The lady on the phone from the company said that the seat should not push backwards so that the baby is laying on their back. The child should not be able to push their feet on the back seat. Ever. I was trying to prove to them that point. I don't know if they believe me. I will not buy another seat from them.

7. Disney Baby Convertible Minnie Sweetheart

Disney Baby Convertible Minnie Sweetheart

Kids can ride longer with extended use. Side impact protection. The seat pad is safe to use in the dryer. A 5-point harness with adjustment. 6 harness heights and 3 buckle locations allow for the best fit for growing children. 6 harness heights and 3 buckle locations allow for the best fit for growing children.

Brand: Disney

👤It is a nice seat. It is not for everyone. This car seat is different because it is not designed to fit the height and weight requirements that it claims are impossible. My daughter is only 25.5 inches tall and her head is already at the top of the car seat shell. She is 14 months old and has 18 pounds on her, she doesn't sit comfortably in it, she is all slumpy looking in the seat. The mickey/Minnie design is cute, but there is not a lot of cushion for accident protection, so go with a better car seat.

👤I haven't installed it yet, so I'm only giving it a 3 star. The bright red appears to be the same color as the orange red. There isn't a Mickey on the bottom right. The seat cover has labels sewn on it. The box says it was made in America. Booster says it was made in China. The product says Doral isn't anywhere. I know Dorel is the owner of cosco. Is this a true Disney product or a knock off? It seems like it's not right. Where is the signature? Don't advertise Made in America if it's clearly assembled in America. If it is not a counterfeit that is unsafe, it is worth the price, but it is not as advertised. I contacted Doral. The seat is genuine. Customer service is very professional. I did not have to ask for the wrong cover. She told me it would arrive by the end of the week. According to Doral, the seat feels flimsy because it is made to move during a crash to absorb pressure rather than the child. It makes sense. Customer service gets a rating. There was an update on December 16. I have had many phone conversations with Doral. According to customer service, the Mickey signature car seat padding has been discontinued. I make it for the APT 40. I don't know why they discontinued it for one size car seat. Customer service still gets a five star rating from me. They sent a car seat pad. It was the same as the one on the original car seat. They said they would send a gift for my grandson. They said it would take about two weeks. If you order a APT 50 carseat, your pad will not have Mickey written on the bottom right corner. 12/18: I wanted to keep this seat, but I had to fit it to my 34 inch. The grandson's shoulder straps were set at second from top. As he grows, I tried them at the highest set, but couldn't get the straps to reach the anchor to connect on the back. I was able to get them connected, but there is not a way to fit an older child in the seat. I tried to see if wrong straps were sent, but have not heard back. We wanted to use this seat in our grandparents car as he grows. It won't work with these short straps. I am a nurse so I have a lot of experience managing things. They sent a gift for my grandson who had been through a lot. It was a baby toy. I don't want to sound thankless, but he is 2 don't patronizing your custamers. The shell is made in the use, but Doral has some work to do on the seat. It works for some, but not in 6mo. It's not as advertised.

👤I own the 4Ever Extend2fit but needed to upgrade my second child's infant car seat to a convertible one. I didn't need a second E2F as my rear-facing 4 year old was getting ready to transition into forward facing mode. I decided that the Grows4Me would make the most sense for my growing family after doing research on another E2F. The most basic of the 4Ever line is what I received after the G4M. The fabric of my E2F is different from the G4M. Some stitching is different from fabric. The G4M has less newborn inserts. The seat cover for the G4M is held together by a hook and loop setup. The G4M has one cup holder instead of two. It was a great budget buy because of the differences in comfort and safety. The 4Ever line has all the necessities and luxuries for a great price. The best part is that it fit in my car. Take that all you non-believers.

👤My daughter and I were t-boned by a garbage truck 10 days after we installed this car seat. She slept through my injury without a scratch on her head. I can't afford another one. I will be buying again when I can. It is worth every penny. 100 percent!

👤I couldn't use it for my baby so I didn't give a lot of stars. It's not for newborns. He was too small for it. He hasn't been switched to this car seat. He is four months old.

👤It may feel like a chore, but reading the manual will help you get the best fit for your child. I researched a lot to find the right carseat for my daughter. She is over 30 inches tall. Her seat was too tight for her height and she hadn't maxed out her weight capacity. I am a licensed social worker with a specialty in Child Welfare and have used SEVERAL carseats. This was one of the easiest ones I've installed and I found it to be easier to maneuver than her infant carseat was. I have "mother's wrists" as a result of my pregnancy which makes lifting heavy items very difficult for me. It was easy to lift and it did not cause any strain. My daughter's first car ride was in the photo. I noticed that she had more head support from this seat than she would've in her infant car seat, because she fell asleep.

👤The design has many features and is thick. The instructions are easy to understand in the manual. The position of the child on the bottom of the car seat base is correct. Sorry about the background noise in the video.

👤It's a hassle to anchor them to the car with the clips. Getting them on is not too difficult. I was not aware that I was ordering this. The base doesn't come off. I had to be escorted by a nurse to show her the one I had before I left the hospital. Not a fan. I would have paid an extra 100$ for the other version if I had known it would be this bad. There are more heads up! This isn't compatible with any stroller. That's correct, not just. I need to find a Graco. No my parents friends. Any troll. The base did not come off. That means no stroller. Leave the car seat alone. I was going to give it a 3 star. It is.

👤I wish I could give this seat a 3.5 star rating, but that option doesn't exist, so I went up to a four instead of a three. This car seat has been with us since February of 2016 It's been about 8 months since I wrote this, and it's been one year. When we purchased this car seat for my son, he was just one year old. He is an average sized child. We were in a passenger side impact car accident on the freeway last week and need to replace this car seat because my son was in it when it was side swiped. As I was thinking about what I would like in the next car seat, I thought about some things I don't like about this car seat, as well as some things I like. I thought it would be helpful for people to see my list of pros and cons after using the Condender 65 for over a year and a half. I kept my son safe in the car accident. The five point harness system was still installed tightly and there were no visible signs of damage. It's really affordable. It was cheap, but not cheap quality-wise. I didn't want to spend $300 on a Britax car seat if I could get away with it. I never considered the cup holder when buying a car seat because my son was barely a year old, but it has been great for holding toys, drinks, and snacks. It's easy to clean. The Britax and Chicco convertible models don't have cup holders built in which is a big problem for me. The ones that clip on seem flimsy and I've read a lot of mixed reviews that make those kinds of cupholders seem more an "afterthought" and don't really feel like a part of the seat. My son knows that he would pull them off and throw them on the floor. I read a review where a mom said her child did this for $30 to sit on the floor of their car. It's fairly light without feeling flimsy. It is 15.2 lbs, which sounds right to me. My niece has a Britax Pioneer car seat that is 26 lbs. The "Simply Safe Adjust" harness system at the top of the car seat is very convenient. It's nice to be able to press a button and pull it as your child grows, instead of having to re-thread the straps. It's easy to rethread the buckle. There is no "recline" button, but this could be a pro or con. If you are using the seat for forward or rear facing, you just flip the little wedge at the base of the seat. I never had an issue with it. We used it for both forward and rear facing. The little ball that indicates proper positioning was in the perfect place each time, without any adjustments or boosting in my Honda Pilot. Black straps! They hide the stains and clean them easily. All of the cons are personal preference and convenience issues. I have no doubt that this car seat is safe. It is difficult to move this seat from one car to another. The cheaper 'hook' style of straps are the ones that are used in cars, not the nicer ones that have a button like a seatbelt. They're a problem to get out of. It's a pain and a half to get in and out of my parents' BMW 5 series and my husband's Honda Civic, so I've transferred this from my Honda Pilot to my husband's Honda Civic. I end up sweaty and swearing. It is not helpful that the strap you use to adjust the seat is only on one side, so you have to climb into your vehicle or mess with it. We had to change it twice. When it came out of the box, my son was in the back of the car, and the adjuster was on the left side of the seat. It's more convenient to have the strap on the side of the door. You have to thread the belt through the seat because you can't just pull it out. When my son switched to forward facing, we had to adjust it again. These are the little things that you don't want to waste time on as a parent. If you could adjust the slack/tightness from both sides, it would be much more convenient. The little bar clip with a button that allows you to adjust the latch belt on the one side is very frustrating to use. It does nothing when you press it half the time. It is supposed to let go of its grip on the belt so you can get slack in the belt to remove the latch from the car or tighten it. My friend's car seat has an issue with the latch button. I am not a bad person, but I have lost patience trying and sometimes I have to ask my husband to mess with it. Stains. I have always been too lazy to take the entire cover off and wash it, even though I was positive I could remove the seat after the accident, because I didn't think I could do it. I have never been able to get the stains out of the seat insert with bleach. I wish they were easier to clean because it looks filthy, unfortunately, with a toddler it's unavoidable. I couldn't get the stains out of this seat, so I gave up. We had a seat in Glacier. The gray is shown in a photo. If you remove the lighter gray seat pad, the stains won't show. The little pad has always been left in for comfort. My friend with the same car seat has said that they washed the seat after their daughter had an accident and it took quite some time to dry. She didn't think the fabric would hold up to multiple machine washings. The five point harness that goes over the child is very difficult to use. I had a lot of issues with them not adjusting equally, which is unsafe. The straps seem prone to twisting and making the buckle backwards. The pull strap at the base of the seat can be difficult to pull tight enough. I felt like I would be pulling and yanking and it wouldn't be tight enough, so it drove me crazy. There is no recline handle to adjust the seat's incline. This could be considered a pro or con depending on how you look at it. The most important thing about the Contender 65 is that it kept my son safe in an accident, even though I didn't care for it much. We decided on the 4Ever car seat from Graco because I have faith in them. It fixes most of the "cons" on this list and has all of the features I loved about the Contender 65. I paid $238 for it on Amazon, but the price has fluctuated, and I've seen it as low as $199 on Amazon.

👤This is our 8th car seat and 5th child. We have had several before this one. It's my favorite of all the car seats we've ever had, so I had to review it. It's seriously. The Diono is heavy and difficult to adjust to, the Britax is cumbersome, and the Evenflos are cheap and thin. None of them have covers that are easy to wash. The covers are easy to put back together. The metal parts you want to be safe and sturdy are latches, tether, etc. The adjusting pieces are large and easy to grasp. Oh! That is the other thing. I couldn't get my hand into any of the others in the way I needed to, not for adjusting, not for installing, and not for moving stuff around. I can get my paw through the appropriate areas. The harness adjustment feature is enough to give repeat business. I didn't say anything dirty while installing. Heeheehee

👤I couldn't ask for a better car seat when I bought it at Target. My daughter is 16 months old and still rear facing, she is very comfortable with the extended leg room. She was laughing and playing in the back seat of the car that was totaled in the accident, even though nothing happened. I just added it to my cart and will be buying it again for my new car.

👤I was frustrated with how hard it was to tighten the seatbelt. You need to have the strength of 10,000 people to tighten it. I figured it out. Pull the slack from around the child's hips once the chest clip and belt are buckled. The chest clip and shoulder strap covers should be lowered. The slack is above the chest clip. The strap needs to be tightened. It will be very easy. We shouldn't have to go through this, but once you know how to do it, it's not bad. It is easy to remove the cover, but it is not so easy to put it on. The seat cover is secured with small elastic loops. The loops need to be threaded through small holes to reach the hook. If you don't have a crochet hook, you will throw the seat away. With the crochet hook, I was able to thread the elastic loop through the small holes and over the fastening hooks with very little effort.

👤We don't plan ahead very well. We were worried when our kid was upgraded to a convertible car seat. We weren't sure if we would be able to find a small car that fit my wife's small car. We looked for a budget friendly car seat because we are already spending an arm and leg for diaper changing. We wanted something to keep him calm. We have three digit temperatures where we are located, which means we have something that could fit in a corolla and the passenger didn't have to move their seat to the point where they were kissing the dash. The fact that it grows with the child makes it a better investment than a budget friendly convertible seat. The fabric allows our son to breathe during the hot days. He gets a little sweat on his back but that is normal with all car seats. I know he doesn't mind the seat because he always passes out with each car ride. We were able to keep the front passenger and driver seat in the back of the car. I enjoy any little leg room I can get. This seat is perfect for your child.

👤I am amazed by my purchase. I have gone through many car seats. They either looked uncomfortable or weren't safe enough for me. My baby and toddler will be in this car seat for a long time. They were very easy to set up and very difficult to put together. Absolutely love, highly recommend.
