A component of The First Years™ iAlert Car Seat, the Cars-N-Kids Car Seat Monitor is a thin, small, pressure-sensitive rectangular device that parents or caregivers can place between the child’s car seat itself and the car seat cover.

Powered by Cars-N-Kids, the iAlert Car Seat Monitor uses Bluetooth technology to wirelessly communicate with a caregiver’s iPhone or Android smartphone via a free app available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store.

The safety features of the iAlert include temperature monitoring of the back seat, a forward-facing installation angle orientation tool, and alerts when the child climbs out of their seat or becomes unattended. The system is also able to send emergency alerts to a list of contacts using text (SMS) and/or email messages.

The iAlert Monitor has a rechargeable battery that will need to be charged with the unit out of the seat. The iAlert app will notify you when the battery is at 75% or below full charge.
